Ryann Shane

Shane made her acting debut in the 2004 short film Superstore, playing Stacey. She later appeared as a school kid in Definitely, Maybe and as Young Amelia in the biographical film Amelia.

Her television work includes a guest appearance as Chloe Carson on Blue Bloods, a role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and the recurring part of Daniella Leary in the 2011 drama series Lights Out. She also appeared in Frances Ha, Gone, and the 2023 film Unexpected.

Shane played Deva Hopewell, the rebellious teenage daughter of Carrie and Gordon Hopewell, in the Cinemax series Banshee. She joined the show as part of its first season and remained a starring cast member through its four-season run from 2013 to 2016.

She also reprised Deva Hopewell in the companion miniseries Banshee Origins. The role became her best-known television performance.

In the 2017 television film Story of a Girl, Shane played Deanna Lambert, a teenager whose private sexual video with an older boy causes her to become a social outcast. She won the role after competing with hundreds of other actresses.

Sara Zarr, whose novel provided the basis for the film, met Shane and praised her performance. The project also placed Shane in a cast connected with director Kyra Sedgwick and actors Kevin Bacon and Sosie Bacon.

Shane's film credits include Superstore, Definitely, Maybe, Amelia, Frances Ha, Story of a Girl, Coach, Finders Keepers, and Unexpected. Her television credits include Lights Out, Banshee, Banshee Origins, Blue Bloods, Gone, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
