Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce married singer-songwriter Taylor Swift on July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden. They share a dog.

Kelce is the younger son of Ed Kelce and Donna Kelce, and his older brother is Jason Kelce, who played center for the Philadelphia Eagles. The brothers have partial Croatian, Polish, and Czech ancestry through their mother.

Kelce attended Cleveland Heights High School, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He was a three-year letter winner as the school's quarterback. As a senior in 2007, he recorded 1,016 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns, along with 1,523 passing yards and 21 passing touchdowns, earning All-Lake Erie League honors.

He accepted a scholarship to the University of Cincinnati, where he initially played both tight end and quarterback. After redshirting in 2008, he played in 11 games in 2009. He missed the 2010 season after testing positive for marijuana in violation of team rules, then returned as a tight end and earned first-team All-Big East honors in 2012. He was also named the College Football Performance Awards Tight End of the Year.

Kelce graduated from Cincinnati in 2022 with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree. He received his diploma during an April 2024 podcast event at Fifth Third Arena alongside Jason.

The Kansas City Chiefs selected Kelce in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft. A knee injury limited him to one snap during his rookie season, but he became the Chiefs' leading receiver in 2014 and made his first Pro Bowl in 2015.

Kelce established himself as one of the NFL's leading tight ends during the 2016 season, recording 85 receptions for 1,125 yards and earning first-team All-Pro honors. In 2018, he set a Chiefs single-season record for a tight end with 1,336 receiving yards. He also developed a prolific connection with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and their 59 touchdown connections became the most in Chiefs history for a quarterback and pass catcher.

In 2020, Kelce set the NFL single-season record for receiving yards by a tight end with 1,416. He became the first tight end to record two 100-catch seasons and began a run of seven consecutive 1,000-yard seasons from 2016 through 2022. In 2022, he became the fifth tight end in NFL history to reach 10,000 receiving yards.

Kelce won Super Bowl LIV, Super Bowl LVII, and Super Bowl LVIII with Kansas City. His brother Jason played for the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, making it the first Super Bowl to feature two brothers as players on opposing teams. Kelce holds Chiefs records for career receptions, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, and total touchdowns, and he holds NFL postseason records including 35 Super Bowl receptions.

In September 2022, Kelce and Jason launched New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce, a weekly podcast covering football, sports headlines, and popular culture. The podcast quickly became one of the leading sports podcasts on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Its popularity increased when the brothers faced each other in Super Bowl LVII, and the show won the Sports Podcast of the Year award from Sports Illustrated and the Best Sports Podcast award at the 2025 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards.

Kelce hosted Saturday Night Live in March 2023 and appeared in the documentary Kelce, which focused on Jason's football career. He also appeared in Moonbase 8, played Ed Laclan in the television series Grotesquerie, and hosted Are You Smarter than a Celebrity?.

His film work includes playing the Waiter in Happy Gilmore 2. He served as an executive producer on My Dead Friend Zoe and the documentary Jean-Michel Basquiat. In 2023, he launched Kelce Jam, a music festival in Bonner Springs, Kansas.

Kelce founded the Eighty-Seven & Running foundation in 2015 to empower underprivileged youth. The foundation has organized fundraising events in Kansas City and Cleveland and supported programs involving education, technology, career development, and health.

In partnership with Operation Breakthrough, the foundation opened a robotics lab in Kansas City and helped establish the Ignition Lab workforce development program. Kelce also created the Catching for a Cause initiative, which connects his football catches and touchdowns with charitable donations.

He has supported organizations including Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Read Across America, Make-A-Wish, and the Rose Brooks Center. Kelce has also advocated for racial justice, supported the Black Lives Matter movement, and called for greater acceptance of LGBTQ people in football.
