Vicki Belo

Vicki Belo was married to businessman Atom Henares, and they had two children, Cristalle and Quark Henares. Their marriage later ended. She married Hayden Kho in Paris in 2017, and they have a daughter, Scarlet Snow Belo, who was born in 2015.

Belo has also spoken about surviving breast cancer, crediting prayer and the support of her family during the experience. She has remained a public figure through family appearances, television work, and social media content.

Belo was adopted at two weeks old by Florencia Gonzalez and her husband, Enrique Belo. She has described being bullied during childhood because she was adopted and overweight. These experiences contributed to her interest in fitness and later influenced her decision to work in the beauty industry.

She earned a psychology degree from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 1978 and a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Santo Tomas in 1985. She received a dermatology diploma from the Institute of Dermatology in Bangkok in 1990, where she learned about laser surgery and dermatological liposuction. She also pursued training in dermatologic and laser surgery at Scripps Clinics, Harvard Medical School, and St. Francis Memorial Hospital at the University of California, San Francisco.

Belo opened her first dermatology clinic at Medical Towers in Makati in 1990. The clinic developed into Belo Medical Group, where she served as founder, president, chief executive officer, and medical director. The group introduced HydraFacial treatment in the Philippines in 2008 and offers procedures including laser treatments, Botox, and dermal fillers.

Belo credited actresses Regine Velasquez and Rosanna Roces with helping increase public awareness of her practice during the 2000s. She treated Velasquez's back acne with glycolic acid, while Roces publicly displayed the results of liposuction performed at the clinic. Belo Medical Group later partnered with the Department of Tourism to promote medical tourism in the Philippines.

The company became the first ambulatory clinic in the Philippines to receive international accreditation from the National Accreditation Board of Hospitals and Healthcare Providers in 2013, and it was reaccredited in 2016. Belo has also advocated free cleft-lip and cleft-palate surgeries for children. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she began producing TikTok and YouTube content focused on dermatology and cosmetic surgery, attracting 1.4 million TikTok followers by 2021.

Belo received the Reader's Digest Asia Most Trusted Brands award and the Platinum Award in the Beauty Clinic category in 2010. In 2016, the Belo Group received a Black Diamond Award for its Thermage and Fraxel laser procedures.

In 2022, Belo Medical Group received the Beauty Industry Pioneer of the Year award from Global Health & Pharma and a Diamond Award at The Future of Aesthetics by Allergan Aesthetics.

Belo hosted Belo Beauty 101, which ran from 2008 to 2009. She also appeared as herself in Beauty in a Bottle in 2014.
