Alan Keating

Keating was born in Brooklyn, Michigan, and made his first recorded tournament appearance at the 2007 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. His career has primarily centered on high-stakes cash games rather than tournament poker.

His tournament record includes a 102nd-place finish in the 2007 WSOP Main Event and a 265th-place finish in the 2010 WSOP Main Event. He also participated in the 2015 World Poker Tour No Limit Hold'em Event #16.

Keating became widely known after his first televised poker appearance on Hustler Casino Live in April 2022. His relaxed manner in very large pots and his willingness to enter a high percentage of hands quickly made him a favorite among viewers.

His televised appearances have included Hustler Casino Live, No Gamble No Future, and High Stakes Poker. He also participated in the Hustler Casino Live Million Dollar Game II, one of the prominent high-stakes broadcasts associated with his public poker career.

Keating is associated with an aggressive, high-action style. During his first Hustler Casino Live appearance, he recorded an 83% VPIP, a statistic measuring how often a player voluntarily puts chips into the pot before the flop.

His approach involves playing a broad range of starting hands, maintaining an unpredictable image, and applying pressure in deep-stacked situations. His televised play has also featured large bluffs and difficult post-flop decisions, helping distinguish him from more conventional tournament specialists.

Keating has screen credits as an actor and producer. He played the Poker Player Golfer in the 2024 film Dead Money and Jace in the upcoming film The Conspiracy.

He is also credited as Hameln Rep in the video game Amanda the Adventurer 3. As a producer, he served as executive producer of the short film The Method.
