Isabel May
Isabel May is an American actress known for playing Katie Cooper in Alexa & Katie and Elsa Dutton in 1883. She reprised the role of Elsa as the narrator of 1923 and has also appeared in Young Sheldon, Run Hide Fight, and I Want You Back.

Isabel May is single. She has no children.
She attended regular school through ninth grade before switching to online schooling so she could focus on acting.
Breakthrough with Alexa & Katie and Young Sheldon
May made her acting debut as Katie Cooper in the Netflix comedy series Alexa & Katie. Katie is Alexa Mendoza's next-door neighbor and best friend, and May appeared in all 39 episodes of the series from 2018 to 2020. Paris Berelc co-starred as Alexa Mendoza.
May also played Veronica Duncan, the love interest of Georgie, on Young Sheldon. She appeared in nine episodes across the show's second and third seasons.
Elsa Dutton in 1883 and 1923
In 2021, May took the lead role of Elsa Dutton in Paramount+'s Western limited series 1883, a prequel to Yellowstone. Elsa also served as the show's narrator, giving May a central role in the series' storytelling. She had never ridden a horse before filming the series, but other cast members considered her a good rider. The cast included country musicians Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, whom May did not recognize as country superstars before working with them.
May returned to the role of Elsa as the narrator of 1923, the sequel series to 1883. She also provided Elsa's voice in an uncredited episode of Yellowstone in 2024.
Film roles and later projects
May played Taylor in the one-shot independent thriller Let's Scare Julie and starred as Zoe Hull in the action thriller Run Hide Fight. She later appeared as Leighton in the romantic comedy I Want You Back and as Lydia Gilbert in The Moon & Back.
Her later credits include Marge in the miniseries Masters of the Air and Alta Hilsdale in an episode of American Masters. She was cast as Tatum Evans, the daughter of Sidney Prescott, in Scream 7, and as Amber Patterson in The Last Mrs. Parrish.

May won the Outstanding Actress in a Made for Television Movie or Limited Series award at the 24th Women's Image Network Awards for her performance in 1883.
