Jamie Campbell Bower

Bower was engaged to actress Bonnie Wright after they met while filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. They ended the engagement in 2012. He was in an on-and-off relationship with Lily Collins from 2012 to 2018, and began dating social media personality Elena Taber in 2025.

His mother, Anne Elizabeth Roseberry, worked as a music manager, while his father, David Bower, worked for the Gibson Guitar Corporation. His younger brother, Samuel Bower, later played with him in Counterfeit. Bower has mild dyslexia and has spoken about past struggles with alcoholism, addiction and mental health. He said he entered recovery and became sober after a period of active addiction.

Bower began his professional acting career after his friend Laura Michelle Kelly recommended him to her agent. He made his film debut as Anthony Hope in Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street in 2007, appearing alongside Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. He later played Rocker in RocknRolla, Jack in Winter in Wartime and Number 11-12 in the 2009 television adaptation of The Prisoner.

His best-known role is Henry Creel, One and Vecna in Stranger Things. He appeared in the fourth and fifth seasons, with the role bringing him critical acclaim. The make-up process for Vecna took up to eight hours each day. In 2025, he made a surprise appearance as Henry Creel in the final scene of Stranger Things: The First Shadow, marking his Broadway debut.

Bower played the vampire Caius in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and both parts of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. He portrayed young Gellert Grindelwald in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and reprised the role in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. He also played Jace Wayland in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

On television, Bower played King Arthur in the 2011 fantasy series Camelot and Christopher Marlowe in the 2017 drama series Will. He voiced Skiff in the Thomas & Friends franchise and played Mick Jagger in an episode of Urban Myths. His later screen roles included Caleb Sykes in Horizon: An American Saga: Chapter 1, Alexander Babtiste in Witchboard and Sir John in Emmanuelle. He joined The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power as Celeborn for its third season.

Music has been a major part of Bower's career alongside acting. He played drums in William K and later became the lead singer of The Darling Buds, a band that dissolved in 2015 without releasing an album. He then became the lead singer and guitarist of the punk rock band Counterfeit.

Counterfeit released its first album in 2017 and toured the United States that year. The band split in 2020, after recording a second album that was never released. Bower began releasing solo music after the split and formed the band BloodMagic in 2024, featuring drummer Kyle Adams. His musical influences include Placebo, Deftones, Blur, Oasis, Marilyn Manson and The Cure.

At the beginning of his acting career, Bower worked part-time as a model with Select Model Management in London. He later appeared in campaigns and fashion projects for Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Hugo Boss, Fendi, Tom Ford, Cartier and Ann Demeulemeester.

Bower has also served as a testimonial for Saint Laurent. His fashion work has accompanied his acting and music career, with appearances including a Tom Ford runway show during Milan Fashion Week and a Hugo Boss campaign created in collaboration with Formula One.
