Kaia Gerber

Kaia Jordan Gerber was born in Los Angeles, California, and is the younger of two children of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. She has an older brother, Presley Gerber. Gerber has described growing up with both her father's Jewish traditions and her mother's Christian traditions, referring to the blend as “Chrismukah.”

Gerber took online classes at Malibu High School while developing her modeling career. Her connection to fashion was also shaped by Cindy Crawford, with whom she later appeared in magazine covers and advertising campaigns, including work for Omega.

Gerber began modeling at 10, appearing in the first campaign for Young Versace. She signed with IMG Models in July 2015 and subsequently worked with brands including Chrome Hearts, Alexander Wang, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, Omega, Versace, Calvin Klein, Saint Laurent, Chanel, and Valentino. Her first magazine cover was a joint appearance with Cindy Crawford on the April 2016 issue of Vogue Paris, followed by another joint cover for Vogue Netherlands later that year.

At 16, Gerber made her runway debut for Raf Simons's Calvin Klein Collection and soon walked for many major fashion houses. She gained particular attention after opening Alexander Wang's spring/summer 2017 show. In 2018, she collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld on the KarlxKaia collection, her first collection, and won Model of the Year at The Fashion Awards.

Gerber continued her modeling work through campaigns for Jimmy Choo, Stella McCartney, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, and YSL Beauty. During the fall/winter 2019 season, she walked 26 fashion shows, opening four and closing four. She also appeared on covers of British Vogue, American Vogue, Vogue Italia, and other international fashion magazines. In 2020, she became part of the investor group that acquired W magazine.

Gerber expanded into acting after making her television-film debut in Sister Cities at 15. She appeared in American Horror Story: Double Feature and American Horror Stories in 2021, followed by a role as a starlet in Damien Chazelle's Babylon. Her later screen work includes Brittany in Bottoms, Jacqueline Carlin in Saturday Night, Chloe Benson in Shell, and Mitzi in the Apple TV+ series Palm Royale. She also appeared in a 2024 Saturday Night Live sketch titled “Pilates.”
