Brianna Ruffalo

Ruffalo began her television career as an associate producer and later worked as an Emmy-nominated Special Projects producer at KTLA in Los Angeles. Her work there covered investigative, health, and money stories. She also co-produced programs for Tribune Broadcasting.

In 2016, Ruffalo co-produced a documentary in Missouri about veterans who survived the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, including one of only five United States soldiers to survive those conflicts as a quadruple amputee. She later worked as a reporter at ABC30 in Fresno, where she covered investigative, financial, and health topics after joining the station in March 2017.

Ruffalo joined ABC7 in Los Angeles in 2019, following her work at sister station ABC30. At ABC7, she serves as a meteorologist, weathercaster, traffic reporter, and journalist. Her ABC7 work has included reporting on Southern California weather, wildfire risks, rainfall, drought, wildlife encounters, and other regional issues.

She graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. In 2021, she completed meteorology studies through Mississippi State University, adding formal weather training to her broadcast journalism background.

Ruffalo began dating actor Josh Lucas in 2022 while he was shooting the Apple TV+ series Palm Royale. The couple appeared together at the series premiere in Beverly Hills in March 2024, where Ruffalo publicly supported Lucas and the cast. Lucas has also supported Ruffalo's broadcast career, including her interviews with celebrities ahead of the Country Music Awards and her appearance in an ABC7 commercial that aired during the Emmy Awards.

Lucas proposed to Ruffalo in Italy on June 29, 2024, after nearly two years of dating. The couple married in Italy in July 2025, and Lucas shared photographs from their wedding ceremony in Vatican City. Ruffalo described the ceremony as receiving the sacrament of marriage inside the Catholic Church.

Before dating Lucas, Ruffalo was in a relationship with fellow journalist Will Carr. They publicized their relationship in early 2019 and later ended it without marrying.
