Aishah Hasnie

Hasnie was born in Lahore, Pakistan, and immigrated to the United States when she was six years old. Her family moved after her uncle, a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy, sponsored their immigration. She grew up in Bedford, Indiana, alongside her younger sister, Afiah Hasnie.

Faith plays a central role in her daily routine. She is an observant Muslim and prays five times a day. In January 2022, she joined the board of USA for UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency. She is unmarried and has no children.

Hasnie attended Bedford North Lawrence High School, graduating in 2002. She earned a journalism degree from Indiana University Bloomington as a Dick Yoakam Broadcast Journalism Scholar. During college, she interned at Geo News in Pakistan, WTHR in Indianapolis, and WICS in Springfield, Illinois, where her cousin Maira Ansari worked as a reporter.

Her first professional post took her to WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She worked as an investigative reporter and fill-in anchor. An investigative piece on voyeurism earned her an Emmy Award nomination. In 2011, she moved to WXIN in Indianapolis. There, she anchored First at Four and hosted Taking Action for You, a consumer investigation segment. Her reporting in Indianapolis brought awards from the Indiana Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists.

Hasnie joined Fox News in New York City in January 2019 as an overnight anchor and news correspondent. The move shifted her work to national events. In 2020, Variety named her to its New York Women of Impact list for her reporting on Muslim Americans observing Ramadan during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Her profile expanded quickly. In August 2021, the network appointed her congressional correspondent, dispatching her to Capitol Hill. She later moved into White House reporting and senior national correspondent duties, covering presidential addresses, international diplomacy, and legislative hearings. She has appeared as a panelist on Gutfeld! and served as a substitute anchor on Special Report with Bret Baier, America's Newsroom, and America Reports. In 2026, she became the permanent host of the Saturday afternoon block of Fox News Live.
