Sara Arjun is an Indian actress known for playing Nila in the Tamil drama film Deiva Thirumagal. She later gained wider recognition as Yalina Jamali opposite Ranveer Singh in the Dhurandhar film franchise.

Personal life

Sara Arjun is the daughter of actor Raj Arjun and Sanya Arjun. She has a younger brother, Suhaan, who made his acting debut in the 2016 short film Dinner.

She is of Sindhi descent. She has also been credited under the alternative name Baby Sara.

From commercials to *Deiva Thirumagal*

Arjun began working as a child actor in television commercials in 2006, including advertisements for McDonald's and Clinic Plus. She was discovered when she was just over a year old and appeared in more than 100 commercials during her early career. She also acted in the short Hindi film Misha in 2010.

Her breakthrough came with A. L. Vijay's Tamil drama Deiva Thirumagal (2011), in which she played Nila Krishna, the young daughter of a mentally challenged father. The performance received widespread critical praise. Arjun completed six months of pre-production rehearsals for the role and won a Vijay Special Jury Award and the ITFA Best Child Actor Award.

Work across Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam cinema

Following Deiva Thirumagal, Arjun appeared in the Hindi films Ek Thi Daayan, Jazbaa, Saand Ki Aankh, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga and Ajeeb Daastaans. Her Tamil credits include Chithirayil Nilachoru, Saivam, Vizhithiru and Sillu Karuppatti, while Saivam brought her further praise and a Vijay Award for Best Child Artist.

She also acted in the Telugu film Dagudumootha Dandakor, the Malayalam children's film Ann Maria Kalippilaanu and the sports drama Toolsidas Junior. In Ponniyin Selvan: I (2022) and Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023), she portrayed the younger version of Nandini. Her short-film work includes The Perfect Girl, Daughter and Paath (The Lesson).

*Dhurandhar* and recent roles

Arjun played Yalina Jamali opposite Ranveer Singh in Aditya Dhar's Hindi spy action thriller Dhurandhar (2025). She reprised the role in Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026), making the character part of a two-film franchise.

Her other recent projects include the action thriller Quotation Gang Part 1 and the Telugu social drama Euphoria, in which she played Chaitra. She also appeared in the Hindi short film Paath (The Lesson) and the web series Parchayee, playing Usha in the episode "The Wind on Haunted Hill."
