Victoria Justice

Victoria Dawn Justice was born in Hollywood, Florida, to Serene Reed and Zack Justice. Her mother has Puerto Rican ancestry, while her father has English, German, and Irish ancestry. She has a younger half-sister, Madison Reed.

Justice developed an interest in on-camera acting at age eight after watching a children's commercial. Her family moved from Florida to Los Angeles when she was 10, and she later entered the musical theatre program at the Millikan Performing Arts Academy. She also appeared in advertising campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Gap, Guess, Mervyn's, Peanut Butter Toast Crunch, and Ovaltine.

Justice began acting with a walk-on appearance as Jill No. 2 on Gilmore Girls in 2003. She followed it with a guest role as Rebecca on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, appearances in the short film Mary and the films When Do We Eat? and The Garden, and the television film Silver Bells.

In 2005, she joined Zoey 101 as Lola Martinez, an aspiring actress introduced during the show's second season. Justice was hired for the role after the character Dana Cruz was written out when Kristin Herrera left the series. She remained part of the main cast through the show's fourth season, which ended in 2008.

Justice expanded into musical performance with the Nickelodeon film Spectacular! in 2009. As Tammi Dyson, she performed three songs for the film and contributed to its soundtrack. That year she also appeared in two episodes of The Naked Brothers Band and guest-starred as Shelby Marx on iCarly.

Justice's biggest Nickelodeon role came with Victorious, in which she played aspiring performer Tori Vega from 2010 to 2013. The series premiered to 5.7 million viewers, making it the second-highest-rated premiere for a live-action Nickelodeon series at the time. She recorded numerous songs for the program, including "Make It Shine", "Freak the Freak Out", "Beggin' on Your Knees", and "Best Friend's Brother".

She also starred as Jordan Sands in The Boy Who Cried Werewolf, which drew 5.8 million viewers for its premiere, and played Wren in the 2012 film Fun Size. Her other film work during the decade included The First Time, Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List, The Outcasts, and the television musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again, in which she portrayed Janet Weiss. In television, she led MTV's thriller series Eye Candy as Lindy Sampson.

Justice pursued a solo recording career alongside her acting. She released the charity single "Girl Up" in 2013 and issued her debut commercial single, "Gold", on June 18 of that year. She also toured with Big Time Rush on the Summer Break Tour in 2013.

After a seven-year break from releasing music, Justice returned with the independent single "Treat Myself" in December 2020. She followed it with "Stay" and "Too F*ckin' Nice" in 2021, then released "Last Man Standing" on her birthday in 2023. Later releases included "Only a Stranger", "Tripped", "RAW", "hate the world without u (maddy's song)", "Down", "Love Zombie", and "Santa Darlin'".

Her acting work in the decade included the films Trust, Afterlife of the Party, A Perfect Pairing, The Tutor, Depravity, and California King. For Afterlife of the Party, she played Cassie Garcia and contributed to the soundtrack EP with Spencer Sutherland and Jessica Rose Weiss, performing and co-writing the song "Home". She also appeared in television projects including The Real Bros of Simi Valley, 50 States of Fright, Queen America, and Suits LA.

Justice hosted the 2020 Kids' Choice Awards after the event moved to a virtual format. That year she also became a member of the Recording Academy.

Justice has supported charitable initiatives connected with the United Nations Foundation and joined the Girl Up campaign in 2010. Girl Up works to improve opportunities and conditions for girls in developing countries.

As part of her involvement, Justice participated in the campaign's launch in New York City, supported the "Unite for Girls" tour across the United States, and visited Girl Up-supported programs in developing countries. She also released the promotional single "Girl Up" in 2013.
