Abbie Gamboa

Gamboa became known as a worship leader in the UPPERROOM community, contributing to the group’s recordings and live worship music. Her early appearances included performances of "Tremble" and "Defender" on the 2018 Moments album, and she collaborated with UPPERROOM on the 2018 single "So Will I."

She also appeared on UPPERROOM’s second album and released collaborative recordings with artists and groups including Bethel Music, Maverick City Music, Dwell Songs, Aaron Williams, and Marcos Brunet. Her work is characterized by soulful, heartfelt vocals and themes of faith, identity, intimacy with God, and spiritual growth.

Gamboa released her debut full-length album, pure, in May 2023 after years of collaborative work. The project was created to communicate her identity and her relationship with God, with songs focused on meeting listeners in different stages of life and faith.

The album’s single "eyes locked on the king" entered the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart in 2023. Gamboa followed the album with a Pure Nights tour in 2024, while later releases included the Spanish-language worship album Intimidad with Marcos Brunet in 2024 and Throwing Paint with Aodhán King in 2025.

Gamboa married Gabriel on January 17, 2019. They have two children, a son named Enzo, born in September 2021, and a daughter named Leona Faye, born on February 1, 2025.

Her songwriting has also drawn on everyday family experiences and personal reflection. She has described the emotional directness of her earlier writing as coming from an honest place rather than exclusively from sadness.
