Alex Lagina

Alex Lagina is the son of Marty Lagina and Margaret Olivia Lagina, and the nephew of Rick Lagina. He has a sister named Maddie Lagina, who is a physician with a master's degree in public health.

He has been married to Katherine Sneed since February 3, 2024.

Lagina studied mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan's College of Engineering and graduated with a degree in 2008. After college, he returned to work in his family's businesses.

He serves as general manager of Mari Vineyards in Traverse City, Michigan. He has also worked for his father through Heritage Sustainable Energy, a company that operates wind turbines across Michigan.

Lagina became a prominent member of the History Channel series The Curse of Oak Island, which follows his father Marty Lagina and uncle Rick Lagina as they investigate the legend of buried treasure on Oak Island, Nova Scotia. His engineering background contributes to planning, strategic decisions, excavation work, and the evaluation of discoveries. He is also a qualified scuba diver, a skill used during underwater searches around the island.

He has worked with metal-detecting expert Gary Drayton and archaeologist Laird Niven during the expeditions. In season nine, episode 14, Lagina and Drayton found a musket ball on lot 32. In season four, episode six, Lagina, Drayton, and Jack Begley discovered a copper coin on lot 6, an area formerly owned by Samuel Ball.

Lagina is also credited as an associate producer on The Curse of Oak Island and its spin-offs. IMDb lists him among the cast of The Curse of Oak Island: Drilling Down, Curse of Civil War Gold, and Tales from Oak Island.
