Bru Luccas

Bru Luccas was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and grew up in several different towns. In 2015, she moved to California with the goal of building a modeling career.

Before establishing herself online, Luccas worked at McDonald's, On The Border, and Wahoo's Fish Tacos. She worked at McDonald's from March 2016 to May 2017, while also pursuing opportunities in fitness and modeling.

Luccas posted her first Instagram photo in May 2017. A photo of her grilling attracted widespread attention, and a subsequent bikini photo helped accelerate the growth of her account. The attention led to modeling and brand ambassador opportunities.

She has worked with brands including Fashion Nova, Bang Energy, and Precioso Yachts. Luccas also started a company selling bikinis and waist trainers with her sister Pietra in 2019, while continuing to use her social media presence to share fitness and nutrition content.

Luccas varies her training schedule around her commitments and exercises in the morning or at night. Her resistance workouts generally use three to five sets of eight to 15 repetitions, with a particular emphasis on lower-body exercises.

Her lower-body routine includes narrow-stance squats, wide-stance squats, narrow squat pulses, sumo squats, and banded squats. She also performs upper-body exercises such as assisted pull-ups, lat pulldowns, cable rows, curls, and dumbbell flys. Swimming is a regular part of her cardio training, with sessions of about one hour four times a week, and she has also trained in jiu-jitsu.

Luccas follows a flexible approach to eating that emphasizes lean protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. She generally times complex carbohydrates around her workouts and prefers getting protein from whole foods rather than relying on protein shakes.

Her regular foods include rice, beans, red meat, chicken breast, and egg whites. Although she enjoys eating out and sometimes eats pizza, burgers, fries, tacos, and chips with salsa, these foods are presented as part of a broader balanced eating pattern.

Luccas has a sister named Pietra, with whom she started her bikini and waist-trainer company in 2019. She began a relationship with Aleksey Apollonskiy.
