Bry Burrows

Bry Burrows and Jalen Hurts met while studying at the University of Alabama and dated on and off after college. Their relationship first entered the public spotlight in January 2023, when Burrows joined Hurts on the field after the Eagles defeated the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. Hurts later described himself as "spoken for" during an interview with Essence.

The couple confirmed their engagement in September 2024 after Hurts proposed during a beach vacation. The proposal featured candles, red roses, an ocean view and a violinist. Burrows and Hurts married in spring 2025, and she supported him at Super Bowl LIX, where the Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs. Hurts has called Burrows his "rock" and thanked her publicly for her support.

Burrows graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama in 2017 with bachelor's degrees in Spanish and political science. She later earned an MBA from the university's Manderson School of Business in 2019.

During her time at Alabama, Burrows was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and served as vice president of the university's National Pan-Hellenic Council. She also served as vice president of the MBA Association and captain of the university's MBA Case Team. In 2019, she helped the team win first place at the seventh annual SEC Championship.

Burrows built her professional career in technology and business. She began working at IBM as a senior client experience consultant in Dallas, later serving as a sales executive and software financing leader before becoming an artificial intelligence partner.

Earlier in her career, she gained experience in sales, marketing and wine service through work with E. & J. Gallo Winery and training at the Culinary Institute of America. She also worked as a graduate assistant at the University of Alabama, supporting the Culverhouse Career Center and the Black Faculty and Staff Association.

Burrows has participated in professional education and mentorship programs focused on helping young people enter technology and business careers. In 2022, she coached IBM's eight-week Accelerate program, which prepared minority undergraduate students for the business world. She also took part in a Manderson Women in Business talk and a diversity and inclusion panel in 2021.

Burrows and Hurts made their red carpet debut at the Time100 Next Gala in New York City in October 2023. They later attended the New York premiere of The Evolution of the Black Quarterback, the Eagles' Super Bowl ring ceremony and the 2025 Met Gala, where they wore Burberry looks created by Daniel Lee.
