Elizabeth Tulloch, also known as Bitsie Tulloch, is an American actress known for playing Juliette Silverton and Eve on Grimm. She later became known for portraying Lois Lane in Superman & Lois and in several Arrowverse crossover events. Her film work includes The Artist, Parkland, and Caroline and Jackie.

Early life

Elizabeth Tulloch was born in San Diego, California, and grew up in Spain, Uruguay, Argentina, and New York before attending middle and high school in Bedford, New York. She uses the name Bitsie, which honors her oddly nicknamed grandfather, a World War II bomber pilot who was involved in the 1961 Goldsboro B-52 crash.

Tulloch graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a double major in English and American Literature and Visual and Environmental Studies. She has Scottish and Spanish ancestry, and has said that Spanish was her first language, although she no longer considers herself completely fluent.

Film and theater

Tulloch's first acting credit was in R2-D2: Beneath the Dome, a mockumentary produced by George Lucas about the fictional Star Wars robot. She later starred as Sally in Sam Forman's play Quarterlife, which premiered at the Pico Playhouse in 2006 and earned her a nomination for a LA Weekly Theater Award.

Her film roles include Lakeview Terrace, Uncross the Stars, Alpha and Omega, The Artist, Caroline and Jackie, and Parkland. In The Artist, she played Norma, an actress in a 1920s silent film, while in Parkland she portrayed Marilyn Sitzman, a witness to the Kennedy assassination. Tulloch played Jackie in Caroline and Jackie, which she also co-produced.

Television

Tulloch held television roles in The West Wing, Cold Case, House, Moonlight, and Outlaw. She played the lead role of Dylan Krieger in Quarterlife, a web series that was later picked up by NBC before moving to Bravo.

Her breakthrough television role came in NBC's Grimm, in which she played Juliette Silverton and the transformed identity Eve from 2011 to 2017. Her Spanish heritage and language skills were incorporated into the character. Tulloch later played Lois Lane in the Arrowverse crossover events Elseworlds and Crisis on Infinite Earths, then reprised the role opposite Tyler Hoechlin in Superman & Lois from 2021 to 2024.

Personal life

Tulloch met actor David Giuntoli while working with him on Grimm. They became engaged in 2016 and married in June 2017. Their daughter, Vivian, was born in 2019.

Tulloch and Giuntoli maintained homes in Portland and the Hollywood Hills while working in the Pacific Northwest and Los Angeles. Their family moved to Washington in 2020, bringing them closer to family and their work in Vancouver.

Awards

Tulloch received a Critics' Choice Award nomination for Best Ensemble Cast as part of the cast of The Artist. She was also nominated for a LA Weekly Theater Award for her performance in Quarterlife.

Her portrayal of Lois Lane in Superman & Lois earned her two nominations for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television.
