R-Truth

R-Truth married Pamela Killings on April 7, 2011. They have a daughter, born in November 2014, and a son named Christopher, who has played college basketball for Penn State Wilkes-Barre in the Penn State Athletic Conference.

He is a supporter of the Carolina Panthers.

Killings began training for professional wrestling after pursuing music and made his wrestling debut in 1997. He wrestled as K-Krush in NWA Wildside, where he won the NWA Wildside Television Championship, before joining the World Wrestling Federation developmental system as K-Kwik in 1999.

As K-Kwik, he teamed with Road Dogg and performed the entrance rap "Gettin' Rowdy." He won the WWF Hardcore Championship twice in 2001, with both reigns ending under the title's 24/7 rules. After leaving WWF, he wrestled for Xtreme Pro Wrestling as K. Malik Shabaz.

Killings joined NWA: Total Nonstop Action in 2002 and adopted the name Ron "The Truth" Killings. He defeated Ken Shamrock for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship on August 7, 2002, becoming the first recognized African-American holder of that title. He won the championship twice during his TNA career and headlined several pay-per-view events.

In 2003, he formed 3 Live Kru with Konnan and B.G. James. The group won the NWA World Tag Team Championship twice under the Freebird Rule. Killings later won the TNA World Tag Team Championship with football player Adam Jones as part of Team Pacman before leaving TNA in 2007.

Killings returned to WWE in 2008 as R-Truth and became a two-time United States Champion. He also won the WWE Tag Team Championship with Kofi Kingston in 2012. Their team was named Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Tag Team of the Year for 2012.

R-Truth and Carmella won the second season of WWE's Mixed Match Challenge in 2018. In 2019, he became the first wrestler to win both the WWF Hardcore Championship and the newly introduced WWE 24/7 Championship. He won the 24/7 title 54 times and held it for a combined 425 days before the championship was retired in 2022.

After returning from an injury in 2023, R-Truth became involved in a storyline with The Judgment Day and reunited with The Miz as Awesome Truth. At WrestleMania XL, he and The Miz won the Raw Tag Team Championship in a six-pack ladder match, giving R-Truth his first WrestleMania victory. In 2026, he teamed with Damian Priest to win the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Before his wrestling career took off, Killings pursued hip hop and breakdancing. He returned to recording while working for TNA and released the album Invinceable in 2003. His later albums include Killingit from 2016 and Legacy from 2021.

Killings released the country-influenced album The White Album in 2025. The project blends rap, soul, and pop elements and reached number 10 on the Billboard Country chart, giving him his first chart placement. He also performs occasional concerts.

R-Truth appeared as himself or under variations of his wrestling name in the films Head of State in 2003, The Wrestler in 2008, Break Dance Revolution in 2016, and Blood Brother in 2018.

He has also appeared in wrestling video games, including WWF Raw, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011, WWE All Stars, the WWE 2K series, and WWE 2K Battlegrounds.
