Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green married fellow professional wrestler Matt Cardona in Las Vegas on December 31, 2021. Cardona performed in WWE under the ring name Zack Ryder, and the pair became the first husband-and-wife duo to win the men's and women's United States Championships in WWE after Green won the inaugural Women's United States Championship.

Green briefly lived in the United Kingdom as a child and attended primary school in Devon for a little over a year. Her mother's side of the family is British, and she has said that she holds a British passport. She has also credited WWE wrestler Kelly Kelly with inspiring her to pursue professional wrestling. Green has supraventricular tachycardia and underwent a procedure in 2026 to address the condition.

Green trained under Lance Storm and made her professional wrestling debut on May 31, 2014, for Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling under the ring name Jaida. She later worked across the independent circuit in North America, Mexico, Asia and Australia, using names that included Chelsea, Laurel Van Ness and Chelsea Green.

In 2016, Green toured Japan with World Wonder Ring Stardom, where she teamed with Santana Garrett in the Goddesses of Stardom Tag League. In 2017, Green and Taeler Hendrix became the inaugural Queens of Combat Tag Team Champions. She also competed in the first All In pay-per-view in 2018, wrestling Britt Baker, Madison Rayne and Tessa Blanchard in a four-way match.

Green debuted in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2016 and later adopted the ring name Laurel Van Ness in Impact Wrestling. The character became associated with the "Hot Mess" gimmick, which featured chaotic behaviour, dishevelled clothing and theatrical post-match appearances. Her work as Laurel Van Ness became one of the defining performances of her early career.

In December 2017, Van Ness defeated Rosemary in a tournament final to win the Impact Knockouts Championship. She left Impact in January 2018 after losing the title to Allie. Green returned to Impact in 2021, wrestling under her real name and teaming with Matt Cardona. In 2022, she formed VXT with Deonna Purrazzo, and the pair won the Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Championship before losing it to The Death Dollz.

Green also appeared in Lucha Underground in 2018 as Reklusa. She wrestled Pentagon Dark in one of her televised matches for the promotion.

Green first appeared on WWE television in 2014 as Megan Miller, a character presented as Daniel Bryan's physical therapist during a storyline involving Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon. She later competed on the sixth season of WWE Tough Enough, finishing fourth among the female contestants. WWE signed her in 2018, and she began working in NXT with Robert Stone as her manager.

After appearing on SmackDown in 2020, Green was released by WWE in 2021. She returned at the 2023 Royal Rumble and soon developed a self-important "Karen" character. She won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with Sonya Deville in July 2023. After Deville relinquished her half of the championship because of injury, Piper Niven became Green's partner, and the reign ended in December 2023.

Green became the inaugural WWE Women's United States Champion in December 2024 after defeating Michin in the tournament final at Saturday Night's Main Event. She later became the first two-time Women's United States Champion. At SummerSlam in 2026, she won a ladder match to capture the Interim WWE Women's Championship. Her subsequent title defence was affected by an orbital bone injury, and Nick Aldis gave her 30 days to become medically cleared and defend the championship.

Alongside wrestling, Green has pursued acting and stunt work. Her screen credits include the films Chokeslam! and Parallel Minds, in which she played Alexa, as well as the short film Last Date. She has also appeared as herself or as a wrestling character in programmes and documentaries including WWE Tough Enough, American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes, WWE: Unreal and Dimension 20.

Green has appeared in wrestling video games including WWE SuperCard, WWE 2K24, WWE 2K25 and WWE 2K26. She has also hosted the podcasts Majorland and Green With Envy.
