Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio has been married to Marie Juliette since March 2024. They began dating in 2011 after meeting in high school when they were both 14, and he announced their engagement in January 2023.

He is the son of professional wrestler Rey Mysterio and Angie Gutiérrez and has a younger sister, Aalyah Gutiérrez. His extended wrestling family includes Rey Misterio Sr., his great-uncle, and El Hijo de Rey Misterio, his first cousin once removed.

Dominik first appeared in WWE as a child during the 2005 storyline between his father, Rey Mysterio, and Eddie Guerrero. The storyline centered on a custody dispute, with Guerrero claiming that he was Dominik's biological father. Rey defeated Guerrero in a ladder match at SummerSlam 2005 to settle the storyline.

Dominik made further appearances during Rey's storylines in 2006 and 2010, including the feud involving CM Punk, Luke Gallows and Serena. He also appeared in Lucha Underground in 2015, becoming involved in the conflict between Rey Mysterio and Johnny Mundo.

Dominik began training to become a professional wrestler in 2018 with Jay Lethal and Rey Mysterio. He made his in-ring debut at SummerSlam on August 23, 2020, losing to Seth Rollins in a Street Fight. At Payback later that month, Dominik and Rey defeated Rollins and Murphy for Dominik's first WWE victory.

Dominik and Rey became a regular tag team in 2021. At WrestleMania Backlash on May 16, they defeated Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. Their reign lasted 63 days, and they became the first father-son team to win a championship in WWE.

In 2022, Dominik and Rey feuded with The Judgment Day, whose members included Finn Bálor, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. Dominik turned on his father at Clash at the Castle on September 3 and joined the group. His resulting character, known as Dirty Dom, featured an arrogant persona that drew heavily on villainous wrestling stereotypes and a fictional former-convict image.

His feud with Rey culminated at WrestleMania 39, where Rey defeated him. Dominik later won the NXT North American Championship twice and developed major storylines with Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan. At SummerSlam 2024, he turned on Ripley and aligned with Morgan, creating a new version of The Judgment Day.

Dominik won the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41 in a fatal four-way match involving Finn Bálor, Penta and Bron Breakker. He later lost the title to John Cena at Survivor Series 2025, then defeated Cena at the same event in San Diego to regain it. He has held the Intercontinental Championship twice and the NXT North American Championship twice.

Dominik debuted for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide in 2025 and defeated El Hijo del Vikingo at Worlds Collide: Las Vegas to win the AAA Mega Championship. By holding the AAA Mega Championship and a WWE championship at the same time, he became the first wrestler to hold championships in WWE and AAA simultaneously.

Dominik has appeared as himself or as Dominik Mysterio in wrestling broadcasts and specials, including WWE SmackDown!, WWE Monday Night Raw, WrestleMania XL, WWE Survivor Series 2025 and WWE x AAA Worlds Collide: Las Vegas.

His acting credits also include the role of Dominik in Lucha Underground. He has used several ring names and nicknames, including "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Dirty Dom, Dominik and El Ginecólogo del Ring.
