Brock Lesnar

Lesnar married former WWE performer Rena Greek, known professionally as Sable, on May 6, 2006. The couple relocated to Canada in 2014, establishing a residence on a farm in Maryfield, Saskatchewan, and Lesnar became a naturalized Canadian citizen in 2016. Together, they have two sons, Turk and Duke, both of whom play ice hockey. Lesnar also has twins, daughter Mya Lynn and son Luke, from a previous relationship with his former fiancée Nicole McClain, and is the stepfather to Greek's daughter from her first marriage.

Known for maintaining a private lifestyle away from public attention, Lesnar rarely grants personal media interviews. During his early WWE tenure, he struggled with severe addictions to alcohol and painkillers, which he used to cope with physical wear and tear following injuries such as a concussive landing from a botched shooting star press at WrestleMania XIX. He has spoken openly about having no recollection of nearly two full years during that initial wrestling stint before achieving sobriety.

Lesnar was raised on his family's dairy farm in Webster, South Dakota. He attended Webster High School, where he competed in both football and amateur wrestling, finishing third in the state wrestling tournament in his senior year. He continued his wrestling career at Bismarck State College, securing the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) heavyweight championship in 1998.

Following his success at the junior college level, Lesnar transferred to the University of Minnesota on a wrestling scholarship. While there, he roomed with future WWE wrestler Shelton Benjamin, who also served as an assistant coach. Lesnar won the Big Ten Conference Championship twice and concluded his senior season by capturing the 2000 NCAA Division I Heavyweight Championship, finishing his collegiate amateur career with an overall record of 106-5.

In 2000, Lesnar signed a developmental contract with the World Wrestling Federation and trained in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). Teamed with Shelton Benjamin as the Minnesota Stretching Crew, the pair captured the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship three times. Lesnar made his televised WWE debut on Raw in March 2002 alongside manager Paul Heyman, who dubbed him "The Next Big Thing."

Lesnar quickly ascended through the promotion, winning the 2002 King of the Ring tournament before defeating The Rock at SummerSlam to become the youngest WWE Champion in history at the age of 25. He maintained premier rivalries with Kurt Angle, Big Show, and The Undertaker, winning the 2003 Royal Rumble match and regaining the title from Angle at WrestleMania XIX. After a high-profile feud with Goldberg that concluded at WrestleMania XX in March 2004, Lesnar departed the company to pursue professional football.

Following his wrestling departure, Lesnar attempted a transition to the NFL despite having not played organized football since high school. Although he sustained several injuries in an April 2004 motorcycle collision, including a broken jaw and bruised pelvis, he worked out for the Minnesota Vikings and signed with the team in July 2004. Lesnar competed as a defensive tackle in several preseason games before being released prior to the regular season.

In October 2005, Lesnar returned to professional wrestling by signing with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. In his debut match at the Tokyo Dome, he won the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in a three-way contest against Kazuyuki Fujita and Masahiro Chono. He defended the title against opponents such as Shinsuke Nakamura and Giant Bernard before NJPW stripped him of the title in 2006. He later defended physical possession of the championship under the Inoki Genome Federation banner, ultimately dropping the belt to Kurt Angle in June 2007.

Lesnar made his professional mixed martial arts debut in June 2007 for the Hero's promotion, defeating Min-soo Kim in the first round. He signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship later that year, debuting at UFC 81 against former champion Frank Mir, where he suffered a first-round submission loss via kneebar. Lesnar rebounded with a dominant unanimous decision victory over Heath Herring at UFC 87.

At UFC 91 in November 2008, Lesnar defeated Randy Couture via second-round technical knockout to capture the UFC Heavyweight Championship in only his fourth professional fight. He unified the title against Frank Mir at UFC 100 before battling life-threatening bouts of diverticulitis that required intestinal surgery. Lesnar returned at UFC 116 in July 2010 to defeat interim champion Shane Carwin with an arm-triangle choke. After title losses to Cain Velasquez and Alistair Overeem, he initially retired from MMA in 2011. He returned for a one-off bout against Mark Hunt at UFC 200 in 2016, a decision victory later changed to a no contest following a positive drug test for clomiphene.

Lesnar returned to WWE in April 2012, adopting a physically dominant combat-sports presentation. Later that year at SummerSlam, Lesnar routed John Cena to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, popularizing the "Suplex City" phrase.

Over the following decade, Lesnar captured multiple world titles, including a 504-day reign as Universal Champion that began at WrestleMania 33 with a victory over Goldberg. He continued to headline marquee events against opponents such as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Cody Rhodes, while also winning the 2019 Money in the Bank match and the 2022 Royal Rumble. Lesnar engaged in a multi-match rivalry with Oba Femi in 2026, which concluded in a Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam that served as Lesnar's final wrestling bout.
