Iyo Sky

Iyo Sky made her professional wrestling debut on March 4, 2007, at age 16, teaming with her older sister Mio Shirai. The sisters worked as freelancers for promotions including Pro Wrestling Wave, JWP Joshi Puroresu, Sendai Girls' Pro Wrestling and All Japan Pro Wrestling. In 2009, they became the inaugural TLW World Young Women's Tag Team Champions.

In 2010, Iyo and Mio formed the Triple Tails stable with Kana. Iyo left the group in 2011 to pursue a singles career. She also worked in Mexico under the names Biba Kasai and Oyuki, competing for International Wrestling Revolution Group and AAA before returning to Japan as Io Shirai.

After leaving Triple Tails, Shirai established herself as one of World Wonder Ring Stardom's leading wrestlers. She won the World of Stardom Championship in April 2013 and held it for 468 days, making 10 successful defenses. She later won the title for a second time and also captured the Wonder of Stardom, High Speed, Goddess of Stardom, Artist of Stardom and SWA World Championships.

In 2015, Shirai became Stardom's first Grand Slam Champion after winning the Wonder of Stardom Championship. She received the Tokyo Sports Joshi Puroresu Grand Prize three consecutive times from 2015 through 2017 and was recognized as Stardom's ace. Her tag team partnerships included Mayu Iwatani, Kairi Hojo, Takumi Iroha, HZK, Momo Watanabe, AZM and Viper.

Shirai lost the World of Stardom Championship to Mayu Iwatani in June 2017 and then took an indefinite hiatus to receive treatment for a neck injury. She returned to competition later that year and regained the Artist of Stardom Championship with HZK and Viper. She left Stardom after her final matches on June 10, 2018.

Iyo Sky joined WWE and made her main roster debut on July 30, 2022. At SummerSlam 2022, she joined Bayley and Dakota Kai to form Damage CTRL, and she later won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship with Dakota Kai. Her WWE accomplishments also include the NXT Women's Championship, the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship and the Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Sky won the 2023 Money in the Bank ladder match and cashed in the contract at SummerSlam 2023 to defeat Bianca Belair for the WWE Women's Championship. She later earned a second reign as champion after defeating Rhea Ripley and successfully defending the title in a WrestleMania 41 triple threat match involving Ripley and Belair.

Her later WWE accolades include winning the Women's WarGames match at Survivor Series 2025 alongside AJ Lee, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Rhea Ripley. In 2026, she won the Queen of the Ring tournament.

In 2024, Sky returned to Japan for Dream Star Fighting Marigold, the promotion founded by Rossy Ogawa. WWE approved her appearance at the Summer Destiny event, where she faced Utami Hayashishita on July 13.

Sky defeated Hayashishita in the match, competing under the WWE ring name that she had adopted after her time as Io Shirai.

On May 23, 2012, Odate and fellow wrestler Kazushige Nosawa were arrested at Narita International Airport after returning from Mexico. They were suspected of attempting to bring 75 grams of marijuana into Japan inside paintings. Both denied the charges and said the paintings had been gifts from fans.

Odate was released from detention on June 12, and Japan's public prosecutor's office decided not to prosecute her on June 28. Mexican wrestler Takuya Sugi later confessed to planting the drugs on Odate and Nosawa. Odate returned to Stardom competition on July 22, 2012.
