Ella Anderson is an American actress and singer known for playing Piper Hart on Nickelodeon's Henry Danger. She is also known for portraying young Jeannette Walls in The Glass Castle and Rachel Rawlings in The Boss.
Personal life
Ella Anderson was born to Rebecca Anderson and Hans Emile Anderson. She has two older twin brothers, Gabriel and Julian Anderson, and is of one-eighth Japanese descent on her father's side.
Anderson has two dogs named Pasha and River. She moved from Michigan to Los Angeles, where she pursued acting with the support of her family.
Early acting roles
Anderson began acting at age five after being discovered by a casting director in Detroit. Her first credited roles came in 2011, when she played Haley in the television film Last Man Standing and Jamie Murphy in the football film Touchback.
She went on to appear as Hazel in A.N.T. Farm, Annie in Raising Hope, Darcy Stewart in Dog with a Blog, and Jenny Keene in Liv and Maddie. Her early film roles included Ellie King in The Possession of Michael King and Bess Trunkman in Unfinished Business.
Piper Hart in Henry Danger
In 2014, Anderson began playing Piper Hart on the Nickelodeon series Henry Danger. The role became her best-known television part, and she remained with the series through 2020. She also voiced Piper Hart in The Adventures of Kid Danger and performed songs for Henry Danger.
Anderson reprised the role in Henry Danger: The Movie, released in 2025. Her performance as Piper Hart earned nominations for Favorite Female TV Star at the 2020 and 2021 Kids' Choice Awards.
