Fraser Olender

Olender joined Below Deck in season 9 as the second steward aboard My Seanna. He became the first male chief steward in the franchise when he was promoted for season 10, later returning for seasons 11 and 12 aboard St. David.

His Below Deck work has included collaborations with Captain Lee Rosbach, Captain Sean Meagher, Captain Sandy Yawn, and Captain Kerry Titheradge. He also worked with crew members including Barbie Pascual, Jake Foulger, Alissa Humber, and Camille Lamb. His management style has been characterized by meticulous attention to service and an entertaining on-screen presence.

Olender entered yachting after experiencing life as a guest on a yacht while working in London. The crew's enthusiasm for hospitality inspired him to leave a job he found unfulfilling and pursue work aboard yachts. He has been in the yachting industry since 2018.

He has emphasized that yacht work is demanding despite its glamorous image. His special skills include speaking fluent French, while his favorite off-boat activities are champagne, shopping, and skiing. He has also named St. Barts, Capri, and St. Tropez among his favorite destinations.

Before joining Below Deck, Olender appeared in the British reality series Made in Chelsea. He made four appearances during season 11 as a friend of Lucy Watson, who was a main cast member during seasons 4 through 11.

His other television credits include Below Deck Galley Talk, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, BravoCon Live with Andy Cohen, Today, and Entertainment Tonight. IMDb also lists him as a guest on the podcast series Discretion Advised.

Olender faced a major confrontation with Captain Sandy Yawn during Below Deck season 10. Yawn criticized his leadership and accountability after observing the interior team while the deck crew handled outstanding work.

Olender initially defended his team, but later accepted responsibility and apologized for his part in the problems. The confrontation became a turning point in his development as a chief steward.

In 2025, Olender was hospitalized after experiencing severe chest pain and difficulty breathing. Specialists identified vape poisoning, also known as E-cigarette or Vaping-Associated Lung Injury, as the cause of his lung injury.

He explained that the illness led to a coronary artery vasospasm. The spasm reduced blood flow and caused an ST-elevation myocardial infarction, or heart attack, without a blockage in the artery. Olender said he stopped vaping and used the experience to warn others about the health risks.

Olender began dating podcast host Matt Rogers in 2025, and they made their public debut as a couple at BravoCon in November of that year. Rogers said he first contacted Olender after seeing an interview about Olender's disappointment at missing the Las Culturistas Culture Awards.

The couple took some space after Olender's heart attack, later appearing together at the 2026 Las Culturistas Culture Awards. In July 2026, they mutually decided to end the relationship and remained friends.
