Jacobi Jupe
Jacobi Jupe is an actor known for portraying Hamnet Shakespeare in Chloé Zhao's film Hamnet. He also appeared as Michael Darling in Peter Pan & Wendy and in the television series Britannia, Tom Jones, and Before.
Hamnet
Jupe played the titular role in Chloé Zhao's Hamnet, a 2025 film based on Maggie O'Farrell's novel of the same name. The role required him to perform emotionally intense scenes, including an audition exercise in which he had to try to prevent his father from being taken away.
His performance earned the Astra Film Award for Best Young Performer. He also received nominations for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer and the Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association Award for Best Breakthrough Performance.
Peter Pan & Wendy
Jupe made his first film appearance as Michael Darling in Disney's Peter Pan & Wendy. He was cast in March 2021 after his first audition for a film role, and the movie was released in 2023.
His early screen work established a range that extended from fantasy films to historical and dramatic productions.
Television and other credits
Jupe played Cyrus in the television series Britannia, appearing in eight episodes. He later portrayed Young Tom Jones in the miniseries Tom Jones and Noah in the Apple TV+ miniseries Before, which consists of 10 episodes.
