Chloe Bailey

Bailey and her younger sister Halle Bailey began performing as Chloe x Halle after launching a YouTube channel with a cover of Beyoncé's "Best Thing I Never Had." Their cover of "Pretty Hurts" attracted Beyoncé's attention, and the sisters signed with Parkwood Entertainment in 2015. Chloe x Halle made their talk show debut on The Ellen Show in 2012.

The duo released the EP Sugar Symphony in 2016 and the mixtape The Two of Us in 2017. They opened for Beyoncé's European Formation World Tour and later supported Beyoncé and Jay-Z on the U.S. leg of the On the Run II Tour. Their debut studio album, The Kids Are Alright, arrived in 2018, followed by the critically acclaimed Ungodly Hour in 2020. "Do It" became Chloe x Halle's first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.

Bailey began appearing on screen as a child, with roles in The Fighting Temptations, Last Holiday, Meet the Browns, Gospel Hill, and the Disney television film Let It Shine. She also appeared in the Disney series Austin & Ally in 2013, performing her song "Unstoppable."

In 2018, she joined the cast of Grown-ish as Jazlyn "Jazz" Forster. She was initially a recurring cast member before becoming a series regular, and left the series after the fourth season when her character graduated from college. Her later screen work included the films Jane and The Exorcism, the television series Swarm, and the miniseries Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist.

Bailey played Sam in the musical comedy film Praise This. Her performance earned her the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Television Movie, Limited-Series or Dramatic Special.

Bailey began her solo recording career with "Have Mercy," released in 2021. The song was certified platinum in the United States, and she performed it at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards. She followed it with the singles "Treat Me," "Surprise," and "For the Night," which features Latto.

Her debut solo studio album, In Pieces, was released in March 2023. Its singles included "Pray It Away," "How Does It Feel" featuring Chris Brown, "Body Do," and "Cheatback" featuring Future. She supported the album with the eleven-date In Pieces Tour.

Bailey announced her second studio album, Trouble in Paradise, during her 2024 Coachella performance. The album, inspired by her experiences in Saint Lucia, was released in August 2024. She also appeared on Tinashe's "Nasty Girl Remix" and recorded a version of "Winter Wonderland" that became the first version of that song to enter the Billboard Hot 100.
