Lucky Costa

Costa developed his automotive skills from childhood, helping his father in a family garage from the age of eight. He opened Mobile Tech Custom Auto in 1984, building a business focused on vehicle customization, restoration, and repair.

The shop became a base for Costa's work as a mechanic, fabricator, builder, and electronics specialist. Costa and his team have worked on older vehicles, restored neglected cars, and developed custom builds for automotive projects.

Costa reached a national television audience after joining the crew of Overhaulin' in 2013. He worked on the series as a builder and electrical technician and appeared in 15 episodes between December 2013 and October 2014.

He later appeared on Roadkill and Roadkill Garage. His most prominent television role has been on Hot Rod Garage, where he serves as a co-host and builder-technician alongside Tony Angelo. The program features the repair, redesign, and transformation of cars, often returning completed vehicles to their owners or sending them to auction.

In addition to his television career, Costa is an author who has written instructional material connected with automotive work. His public projects combine practical mechanical knowledge with demonstrations of vehicle repair, fabrication, and customization.

Costa launched his YouTube channel on July 3, 2015, with a video titled “Air-lift cooling system fill.” His online videos feature work at his garage, including engine rebuilding, custom-component installation, and vehicle modifications.
