Solas
Fran De Solas is a Spanish content creator and actor known for his satirical social-media commentary on luxury fashion, old money aesthetics, royalty, and celebrity style. He is also the co-author of the fantasy novel Los Hijos de Plutón and the host of the podcast and events project The Iconic Society.
Early life and acting training
Born Francisco Pérez Padilla in Marbella, Spain, he grew up alongside his sister, Sofia. During his youth, he received an international education by attending a British school.
He developed an interest in dramatic arts and completed formal acting training at several notable institutions. His training included studies at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in the United Kingdom and the Escuela Cristina Rota in Spain.
Content creation and creative projects
After receiving encouragement from his friends to share his comedic perspective publicly, he began posting videos across TikTok and Instagram in 2021. His content quickly gained traction through humorous breakdowns of high fashion, old money culture, aristocratic tropes, and red-carpet aesthetics.
Beyond short-form video creation, he branched into literature and podcasting. He collaborated with co-author Augusta Thoenig to write the young adult fantasy novel Los Hijos de Plutón, which originally built an audience on the publishing platform Wattpad. In March 2024, he expanded his media work by launching The Iconic Society, a multimedia project encompassing a podcast and live events.
