Teezo Touchdown

While attending high school in Beaumont, Thomas uploaded music to YouTube under the names AyeTee, TeeKnow, and later Teezo Suave. He filmed early music videos at his high school and produced songs for rappers in his city. In 2016, he adopted the stage name Teezo Touchdown.

Around that time, he began working with the musical collective CVKE Supply, which uploaded videos for his songs "Professional" and "It Depends" in 2017. He released the self-produced mixtapes The Example and Cover Boy in 2018. His 2019 song "100 Drums," made with producer Coop, addressed gun violence in his hometown while sampling Panic! at the Disco's "I Write Sins, Not Tragedies." The song's video drew social-media attention and led to public support from Chance the Rapper and Trippie Redd.

Thomas released the singles "Strong Friend," "Careful," and "Sucka" in 2020, followed by "Rooting For You," "Bad Enough," and "Social Cues." He directed the music videos for these releases and continued building a visual identity around comedy, unusual costumes, and DIY production. In 2021, he released "Technically," appeared in Fousheé's "Single AF" video, and contributed to Tyler, the Creator's song "RunItUp."

In 2022, Teezo Touchdown toured the United States with Tyler, the Creator, Vince Staples, and Kali Uchis on the Call Me If You Get Lost Tour. He later opened for Travis Scott on the Circus Maximus Tour in 2023 and for Don Toliver on the Psycho Tour in 2024. His featured appearances expanded to Travis Scott's "Modern Jam" on Utopia, Drake's "Amen" and "7969 Santa" on For All the Dogs, and Tyler, the Creator's "Darling, I" on Chromakopia. He released his debut studio album, How Do You Sleep at Night?, on September 8, 2023, with guest appearances from Janelle Monáe, Fousheé, and Isaiah Rusk.

Teezo Touchdown draws on a wide range of influences, including the Smiths, Rick James, Future, Frank Ocean, Lil Jon, and Prince. His music has been associated with alternative hip-hop and rap rock, while incorporating elements of hip-hop, autotune, radio pop, country, trap, emo-punk, and acoustic music.

He has described his approach as "Rock & Boom," a fusion of rock intensity, R&B melodies, and boom bap production. He has also emphasized that rock's energy remains central to his work, even when a song is not led by guitar. His frequent guest appearances on tracks by artists such as Tyler, the Creator, Travis Scott, Drake, Lil Yachty, Don Toliver, and Doja Cat have become a prominent part of his career.

Thomas directs his own music videos and often pairs them with promotional comedy skits and extended campaigns. His 2021 "Rid the Mid" campaign presented him as a candidate for mayor of the fictional city of Midville. The campaign included comic proposals such as banning people from stealing someone else's lighter and preventing barbers from pushing back a person's hairline.

Many of his videos and skits use a graffiti-covered garage in Beaumont, Texas, as a recurring setting. He transforms the space to match each production, including turning it into a backdrop for sports mascots in "Rooting For You" and a football field in "Bad Enough." He also created Watch Your Step, a sketch-comedy series that premiered on Telfar TV and promoted Telfar products.

Teezo Touchdown's public image has included nails worn in his hair, chain-linked necklaces, and eye-black associated with football. His managerial alter ego, Eugenius Hanes, appears in a ginger wig and cowboy hat, extending the comic and theatrical elements of his visual identity.

His fashion work includes modeling for Marc Jacobs's Heaven collection and appearances connected with Balenciaga, Alyx, Moncler, and Telfar. In 2021, he performed "I'm Just A Fan" at the Mondo Genius event associated with Moncler and Alyx and appeared in Telfar's "Bag Security Program III" commercial.
