Trippie Redd

Trippie Redd has been involved in several high-profile relationships within the music industry. He was previously linked to rapper Aylek$, and in 2021 he confirmed a relationship with singer Skye Morales, which ended in 2023 after he publicly acknowledged infidelity.

He had a brief relationship with rapper Coi Leray in 2019 before the couple rekindled their romance in August 2024. In January 2025, they announced that they were expecting their first child together, and their daughter Miyoco was born in June 2025.

Growing up, he was particularly close to his older brother, who performed music under the moniker Dirty Redd. After his brother died in a car accident in 2014, Redd cited the tragedy as a major catalyst for dedicating his life to creating music. He also has a younger brother.

Trippie Redd developed an early interest in music from listening to artists played by his mother, including Ashanti, Beyoncé, Tupac Shakur, and Nas. During his adolescence, his musical taste broadened into alternative rock, punk, and rap, drawing inspiration from bands such as Nirvana, Green Day, and Kiss, as well as hip-hop artists like Gucci Mane, T-Pain, and Lil Wayne.

He first began recording songs under the influence of local rapper Lil Tae, releasing tracks like "Sub-Zero" and "New Ferrari" in 2014 before briefly taking them down. Following high school, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he connected with rapper Lil Wop. Lil Wop provided access to professional studio facilities, and together with Kodie Shane, they created early collaborative projects including Awakening My Inner Beast, Beast Mode, and Rock the World Trippie.

After securing a recording contract with Elliot Grainge's label, Strainge Entertainment (later 10K Projects), he moved to Los Angeles to develop his debut commercial releases.

Trippie Redd broke into mainstream recognition in May 2017 with the release of his debut commercial mixtape, A Love Letter to You. The project gained widespread popularity through its lead single, "Love Scars", which earned multi-platinum certification from the RIAA. Later that year, he featured on XXXTentacion's single "Fuck Love" from the album 17, which peaked at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 and eventually received a Diamond certification for exceeding 10 million units moved.

In October 2017, he followed up with A Love Letter to You 2 and the collaborative EP Angels & Demons alongside Lil Wop. In December 2017, he released the Travis Scott collaboration "Dark Knight Dummo", securing his first charting song on the Billboard Hot 100 as a lead artist.

His debut studio album, Life's a Trip, arrived in August 2018 after being selected for the 2018 XXL Freshman Class. The album debuted at number four on the Billboard 200, supported by singles such as "Taking a Walk" and "How You Feel". He closed out 2018 with the mixtape A Love Letter to You 3, which reached number three on the Billboard 200.

In August 2019, Redd released his second studio album, !, which debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and featured the single "Mac 10" with Lil Baby and Lil Duke. A few months later, in November 2019, he earned his first number one album on the Billboard 200 with the mixtape A Love Letter to You 4.

Redd continued expanding his sound across genres in subsequent projects. His third studio album, Pegasus, arrived in October 2020 and peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. In early 2021, he released a deluxe rock-infused edition, Neon Shark vs Pegasus, created in direct collaboration with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

In August 2021, he released his fourth studio album, Trip at Knight, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200. The album embraced the upbeat rage subgenre and featured the hit single "Miss the Rage" with Playboi Carti, which peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 to become the highest-charting song of his career.

Redd issued his fifth studio album, Mansion Musik, in January 2023, debuting at number three on the Billboard 200. Later that year, he released the mixtape A Love Letter to You 5 alongside the two-part EP series Saint Michael and Saint Michael V2.

In March 2024, he partnered with rapper MGK to release the collaborative emo-rap EP Genre: Sadboy. Outside of his own performing output, Redd expanded into visual direction, directing the official music video for Juice Wrld's posthumous 2024 single "Both Ways". He also joined English media personality KSI on the 2024 single "Thick of It".

In late May 2018, Redd was arrested in Cobb County, Georgia, and charged with affray, criminal trespass, and simple battery following an altercation involving rapper FDM Grady. In early June of the same year, he faced an additional assault arrest in Georgia.

In August 2023, law enforcement cited Redd in Florida for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license. On July 4, 2025, he was arrested at Miami International Airport while boarding an international flight to France on an outstanding warrant stemming from the unlicensed driving offense.
