Yvette Prieto

Prieto met former NBA star Michael Jordan at a Miami nightclub in 2008. The couple moved in together in 2009, and Jordan proposed over the Christmas holiday in 2011. They married on April 27, 2013, in a ceremony held at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida. For the ceremony, Prieto wore a custom gown created by Australian design house J'Aton Couture. The reception took place at the Bears Club in Jupiter, Florida, with over 500 guests in attendance, including Spike Lee, Patrick Ewing, and Tiger Woods, and featured live musical performances by Usher and Robin Thicke. Rather than accepting wedding gifts, the couple requested donations to the James R. Jordan Foundation, and they later donated their wedding floral arrangements to the Jupiter Medical Center.

On February 9, 2014, Prieto gave birth to twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel Jordan. Through her marriage to Jordan, she also became stepmother to his three children from his earlier marriage to Juanita Vanoy: Jeffrey, Marcus, and Jasmine Jordan. To maintain privacy and security during foreign travel, the couple traveled with a private security detail and utilized code names, with Prieto going by Harmony and Jordan by Yahweh.

Prieto was born in Cuba on March 26, 1978, to Carlos and Maria Prieto. She grew up in Miami, Florida, alongside her brother Carlos Prieto, who later opened a boutique sneaker store in Miami. Prieto developed an interest in sailing during her upbringing near the coast and earned a college degree in business management.

Before focusing on modeling, Prieto worked in several business roles, including positions in real estate, hospital administration, and at her parents' company. As a model, she appeared in commercials, calendar shoots, and fashion campaigns, most notably working with designer Alexander Wang. She also appeared as herself in the documentary Cuba: An Island Apart. During the early 2000s, Prieto was in a relationship with Spanish singer and model Julio Iglesias Jr.
