Stassie Karanikolaou

Karanikolaou was born in Los Angeles, California, and was homeschooled with her sister, Alexia Karanikolaou. During her appearance on Call Her Daddy, she described her childhood as involving considerable upheaval. She said that her mother struggled with addiction, leading the sisters to move between their father’s home and the homes of other family members.

Karanikolaou is of Greek descent. She has said that the career she built supports her family financially, and she gradually opened up about her upbringing through her YouTube channel and interviews.

Karanikolaou met Kylie Jenner when they were 13 and in middle school. A mutual friend connected them, and they met at a Barnes & Noble in Calabasas, California, in 2010. Karanikolaou later rejected the idea that their friendship began at a Jenner fan event.

Jenner has called Karanikolaou her oldest friend and compared her to a sister. Their friendship placed Karanikolaou within the Kardashian and Jenner social circle, while Karanikolaou developed a large audience of her own. She has also played a major role in the life of Jenner’s daughter, Stormi.

The pair collaborated on a Kylie Cosmetics collection containing liquid eyeliners, a lip kit, lip glosses, and a highlighter. Karanikolaou and Jenner have also publicly addressed speculation about their friendship, describing their affectionate behavior as platonic.

Karanikolaou turned her social-media following into modeling and fashion opportunities. She modeled for Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty lingerie brand, Good American, PrettyLittleThing, and Alexander Wang’s bodywear collection. She also appeared on the cover of Teen Vogue with Kylie Jenner and Telana in 2015.

In 2019, she created a swimwear line with TJ Swim. Her other fashion work included a PrettyLittleThing collection launched in 2021 and collaborations with Kylie Cosmetics. She has also appeared in Teen Vogue and Nationalist Magazine.

Karanikolaou has a self-titled YouTube channel where she has discussed beauty procedures and aspects of her personal experience. She documented undergoing lip fillers and a breast lift in 2017, followed by a reduction of her breast implants in 2019.

Karanikolaou and DJ Zack Bia launched Sunny vodka in March 2022. She described the project as an effort to bring their California spirit and friendship into the brand. She later promoted the vodka at Sugar Factory in Las Vegas, where she prepared cocktails using the product.

Karanikolaou also had an on-again, off-again relationship with TikToker Jaden Hossler. The couple became Instagram official in February 2023 after being seen together in Turks and Caicos, and Karanikolaou announced their separation in April 2024.

Karanikolaou’s mother died on June 26, 2023. Karanikolaou and her sister, Alexia, announced the death in a joint Instagram post, writing about their grief and their love for their mother.

Karanikolaou’s family includes her father, Periklis Nikolaos Karanikolaou, and her stepmother, Nicollette. Her family background and her mother’s death have been among the more personal subjects she has discussed publicly.
