Ashton Kutcher

Kutcher was married to Demi Moore from 2005 until their divorce was finalized in 2013. He has been married to his former That '70s Show co-star Mila Kunis since 2015, and they have two children, a daughter named Wyatt Isabelle and a son named Dimitri Portwood.

In 2022, Kutcher revealed that he had been diagnosed with vasculitis two years earlier. The autoimmune disorder affected his vision, hearing, and mobility for about a year, and he later described having fully recovered.

Kutcher grew up in Iowa with his fraternal twin brother, Michael, and older sister, Tausha. Michael had cerebral palsy and received a heart transplant during childhood. Kutcher developed an interest in acting while attending school in Homestead, Iowa, where he appeared in school productions.

He studied biochemical engineering at the University of Iowa after graduating from high school in 1996, but left before earning a degree. While in college, he worked at a General Mills plant and won the Fresh Faces of Iowa modeling competition in 1997. The contest led to work in New York City, where he modeled for Calvin Klein and Abercrombie & Fitch before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting.

Kutcher became known in 1998 as Michael Kelso on That '70s Show, a sitcom about teenage friends in Point Place, Wisconsin. He remained with the series through 2006, appearing alongside Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Danny Masterson, Laura Prepon, and Wilmer Valderrama. The role established him as a television star and led to film opportunities.

His early film credits included Coming Soon, Dude, Where's My Car?, Just Married, My Boss's Daughter, and The Butterfly Effect. He later appeared in Guess Who, A Lot Like Love, The Guardian, What Happens in Vegas, Killers, and No Strings Attached. In The Guardian, he starred opposite Kevin Costner, while What Happens in Vegas paired him with Cameron Diaz.

In 2003, Kutcher co-created, hosted, and executive-produced MTV's Punk'd, a hidden-camera series built around practical jokes played on celebrities. He also produced programs including Beauty and the Geek. From 2011 to 2015, he played internet entrepreneur Walden Schmidt on Two and a Half Men, taking over the series role after Charlie Sheen's departure. He portrayed Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in Jobs in 2013 and later starred as Colt Bennett on the Netflix sitcom The Ranch from 2016 to 2020.

Kutcher returned to the role of Michael Kelso in an episode of That '90s Show in 2023. His later film credits include Vengeance and the romantic comedy Your Place or Mine, in which he starred opposite Reese Witherspoon.

Kutcher expanded into technology investing during the 2010s. He co-founded A-Grade Investments with Guy Oseary, Ron Burkle, and Chris Hollod, and announced Sound Ventures in 2015 as a successor to A-Grade Investments. The firms backed technology companies including Airbnb, Uber, Affirm, and OpenAI. He also worked as creative director for the internet communications company Ooma and was appointed a product engineer by Lenovo in 2013.

His production work extended through Katalyst Films, which he ran with Jason Goldberg, and Katalyst Media. Kutcher also helped launch the content platform A Plus, serving as its chairman. In 2009, he and Demi Moore founded the DNA Foundation, later renamed Thorn, an organization focused on combating human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children. Kutcher resigned as Thorn's board chair in 2023 after criticism over a letter he and Kunis wrote to a judge in support of Danny Masterson.

Kutcher and Kunis launched a fundraising effort for Ukrainian refugees in 2022, working with Airbnb and Flexport to support humanitarian assistance in Poland and Romania. He also ran the New York City Marathon in 2022 while raising support for Thorn.
