Beckham Black

Black entered the USA Basketball junior national team program through minicamps in Phoenix, San Antonio, Indianapolis, and Colorado Springs. In June 2025, he earned a roster spot on the Men's U16 National Team for the FIBA U16 AmeriCup in Juarez, Mexico. He started all six games. Black averaged 6.7 points, 6.5 assists, and 3.3 steals per game as the team won the gold medal. His 39 tournament assists broke the previous competition record for an American player alongside teammate Nasir Anderson.

He rejoined the national team for the 2026 FIBA U17 World Cup in Istanbul. The squad went undefeated. Black started all seven games and led the team with 8.3 assists and 3.0 steals per game while averaging 12.3 points. He recorded double-digit assists twice during the tournament, delivering ten assists against Serbia and 12 against Puerto Rico.

Black played prep basketball for Duncanville High School in Texas and later attended Southeastern Preparatory Academy in Florida. In 2025, he earned first-team all-district honors at Duncanville.

On the grassroots circuit, he played for AB Elite in the Nike EYBL. During the Peach Jam tournament, he posted 37 points, five rebounds, and four steals in an 84-69 win over Meanstreets. He scored 28 points in another tournament contest. His performances across the circuit pushed him to the top spot on national scouting boards for the class of 2027.

Collegiate programs began recruiting Black following his high school and EYBL performances. He received scholarship offers from Texas, Arkansas, Georgetown, Auburn, California, USC, Southern Methodist, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, and TCU.
