Cassie Ventura

Ventura has been married to personal trainer Alex Fine since August 2019. The couple have three children: daughters Frankie Stone Fine, born in December 2019, and Sunny Cinco Fine, born in March 2021, followed by a son born in May 2025.

Ventura was in a long-term relationship with Sean Combs from 2007 to 2018. She and Fine first met at a gym, and she has spoken about wanting to remain active as a musician, business builder, wife, and mother.

Ventura began modeling at 14 and, by 16, had appeared in local department-store campaigns, a Delia's fashion catalog, and Seventeen. After finishing high school in 2004, she moved to New York City, continued modeling, and took classes at the Broadway Dance Center. She was represented by Wilhelmina Models early in her career.

Producer Ryan Leslie noticed Ventura in 2004. They wrote the duet "Kiss Me," and Leslie signed her to NextSelection Lifestyle Group. He wrote and produced "Me & U," which Sean Combs heard in a club before partnering Bad Boy Records with Leslie's label for Ventura's debut release.

Ventura's self-titled debut album, Cassie, was released in 2006. Its lead single, "Me & U," reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100, while the album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200. The album also produced the single "Long Way 2 Go."

She later released "Official Girl" featuring Lil Wayne, "Must Be Love" featuring Combs, and "Let's Get Crazy" featuring Akon. Her mixtape RockaByeBaby arrived in 2013 and included "Numb" featuring Rick Ross and "Paradise" featuring Wiz Khalifa. Dazed & Confused named it the best mixtape of 2013. In 2019, Ventura released a series of singles through her Ventura Music label under the title "Free Fridays."

Ventura made her film acting debut as Sophie Donovan in the dance film Step Up 2: The Streets in 2008. She also performed the film's lead soundtrack single, "Is It You." Her later screen roles included Eva in The Perfect Match, Melea Martin in Honey 3: Dare to Dance, Elise in Spenser Confidential, and Haven Quinn in Empire.

Her modeling work included campaigns for Calvin Klein, ASOS, Delia's, Adidas, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Clean & Clear. She was the face of ASOS's 2013 spring collection and the Summer 2013 Forever 21 collection. Ventura became associated with an edgy fashion style after shaving her head in 2009.

In November 2023, Ventura filed a lawsuit against Sean Combs alleging a decade-long cycle of abuse, violence, and sex trafficking, including rape and domestic violence. The parties announced an out-of-court settlement one day after the filing without disclosing its terms.

In May 2024, CNN published surveillance video showing Combs physically assaulting Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016. Combs later apologized and described his actions as inexcusable. Ventura testified in Combs's federal trial in May 2025, two weeks before the birth of her son.
