Wiz Khalifa

Wiz Khalifa was married to model Amber Rose from 2013 to 2016. They have a son, Sebastian Taylor Thomaz, born in 2013, and shared custody of him after their divorce.

Khalifa has been in a relationship with Aimee Aguilar since 2019. They welcomed a daughter, Kaydence, in July 2024.

Born Cameron Jibril Thomaz, Khalifa spent his early years moving between countries and U.S. states because his parents served in the Air Force. He lived in Germany, the United Kingdom, and Japan before settling in Pittsburgh with his mother and attending Taylor Allderdice High School.

He began writing lyrics as a child and was recording at Pittsburgh's I.D. Labs by the age of 15. The studio's management allowed him to record without charge after being impressed by his lyrics. His stage name combines "Wiz," shortened from wisdom, with Khalifa, an Arabic word meaning "successor."

Khalifa signed with Pittsburgh's Rostrum Records after attracting the attention of label president Benjy Grinberg. His early releases included the mixtape Prince of the City: Welcome to Pistolvania and the 2006 album Show and Prove. He signed with Warner Bros. Records in 2007, released the mixtapes Grow Season and Prince of the City 2, and received his first minor hit with "Say Yeah."

After leaving Warner Bros., he released Deal or No Deal in 2009 and the free mixtape Kush and Orange Juice in 2010. He signed with Atlantic Records that year and released "Black and Yellow," an ode to Pittsburgh and its Steelers. The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, while Rolling Papers reached number two on the Billboard 200 in 2011. Khalifa won the BET Award for Best New Artist that year.

His later albums included O.N.I.F.C. in 2012, Blacc Hollywood in 2014, and Rolling Papers 2 in 2018. Blacc Hollywood became his first album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200.

In 2015, Khalifa released "See You Again" with Charlie Puth for the Furious 7 soundtrack. Written as a tribute to actor Paul Walker, the song topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 non-consecutive weeks, received diamond certification from the RIAA, and earned three Grammy Award nominations.

Khalifa's screen work includes the comedy film Mac & Devin Go to High School, in which he starred with Snoop Dogg. He also appeared in Spinning Gold and had roles in Dickinson, Duncanville, American Dad!, and Big City Greens. In 2021, he competed as Chameleon on The Masked Singer and finished in third place.

Khalifa founded Taylor Gang Entertainment in 2008. The label has signed artists including Juicy J, Ty Dolla Sign, and Berner. He also launched the Khalifa Kush cannabis brand in 2016.
