Danielle Cohn

Cohn grew up in Florida and developed an interest in performing while frequently competing in beauty pageants. She won the Miss Florida Jr. Preteen title, variously dated to 2014 or 2015, and later attended a national modeling competition in California, where she obtained a modeling contract with an agency in Miami.

She began posting lip-syncing and dancing videos filmed on her family's iPhone. In 2016, she started uploading the videos to Musical.ly, where her audience grew rapidly. Her family's move from Florida to Los Angeles in 2017 followed invitations to industry events and the expansion of her online career.

Cohn became one of the first social media stars to surpass 10 million followers on Musical.ly. Her online work included lip-sync videos, dance videos, fashion content, challenges, pranks, and vlogs. She also developed partnerships with brands including Target, Samsung, Six Flags, Live Nation, Fashion Nova, Juicy Couture Clothing, and Lisa B Jewelry.

She launched her music career with the single "Marilyn Monroe" in May 2017. The song was followed by "Fix Your Heart," "Little Like Paradise," and "Hate on the Summer," and her video for "Marilyn Monroe" attracted more than 14 million YouTube views. In 2020, she released "Do It Better."

Cohn was nominated for the 2017 Teen Choice Award for Choice Muser. She has performed live at venues including Playlist Live and has used YouTube for vlogs, fashion hauls, challenges, and other lifestyle videos. She also operates an online store selling apparel and accessories.

Cohn's age became a recurring subject of public debate. She and her mother had presented her birth year as 2004, while her father, Dustin Cohn, publicly argued that she was younger and presented a birth certificate listing March 7, 2006. Cohn and her mother disputed his claims, and Cohn addressed the issue in videos and social media posts.

In 2020, Cohn appeared to refer to herself as 14 during an Instagram livestream while discussing a possible future family. Her public discussions of age took place alongside broader scrutiny of her online presence and the way her personal life was presented to followers.

Cohn was romantically linked with content creator Mikey Tua, and the pair described their relationship as on-and-off. In 2019, they posted videos presenting a Las Vegas marriage and an image suggesting that Cohn was pregnant. Cohn's mother later said the ceremony was not a legal marriage, and the pregnancy announcement was revealed as a prank.

Cohn and Tua later reconciled and discussed their relationship publicly in videos, livestreams, and social media posts. Their online relationship became part of the intense attention surrounding Cohn's age, personal life, and approach to influencer publicity.

In 2020, leaked audio of a private conversation involving Cohn and her mother prompted further public discussion about Cohn's wellbeing. Cohn addressed the situation in a video titled "The Truth About My Abortion," confirming that she had undergone an abortion in January of that year.

She said the experience had left her feeling alone and used the video to tell viewers that people facing a similar decision should not feel ashamed. After a brief pause from social media, she continued creating content and said she planned to donate a portion of her merchandise sales to Planned Parenthood.
