Demi Engemann

Engemann entered the blogging world in January 2012 and launched the lifestyle blog Demi Lucy May. Her content has focused on lifestyle and family photography, helping her establish a following on Instagram and TikTok before her television debut.

She became associated with MomTok, the group of Utah-based creators featured in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Her public persona on the series is built around frank communication, challenging traditional expectations, and discussing motherhood, mental health, and her experiences within a blended family.

Engemann joined The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives as a main cast member when the Hulu series premiered in 2024. In the first season, she was presented as an outspoken member of MomTok and a close friend of Jessi Ngatikaura. Whitney Leavitt recommended her for the show, although Engemann was initially reluctant to participate.

Her relationships with Taylor Frankie Paul, Jessi Ngatikaura, and Whitney Leavitt became central to the show's later seasons. Engemann and Paul moved from apparent closeness to an extended conflict, while Engemann's friendship with Ngatikaura deteriorated after disagreements connected to the cast's contract negotiations and later on-screen disputes. Engemann and Leavitt eventually rebuilt their friendship and became aligned during the conflict with Paul.

Engemann did not attend the season two reunion in person because of a preplanned family trip to Disneyland. She participated through a prerecorded interview with host Nick Viall, allowing her to address the season's conflicts remotely. The series later portrayed her as leaving MomTok and, in its fourth season, as a supporting cast member after stepping away to reconsider aspects of her life.

Engemann appeared as a guest on Hulu's Vanderpump Villa alongside Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, and Mikayla Matthews. The group visited the Italian villa during a trip connected to Affleck's planned move away from Utah.

During the visit, Engemann spent time speaking with villa server Marciano Brunette. Their interactions became part of the later Secret Lives of Mormon Wives storyline, though Engemann said that nothing romantic happened and emphasized that she was married throughout the trip. She later described focusing on her marriage and objected to the interpretation of friendly interactions as an invitation to pursue her.

Engemann was previously married to Blake Corbin, with whom she shares her daughter, Maude Raen Corbin. Maude was born on July 11, 2017. Engemann and Corbin separated in 2020.

Engemann began dating Bret Engemann in 2020 and married him on April 23, 2021. Through her marriage to Bret, she became stepmother to his sons, Rome and Cole, whose mother is Angie Harrington. Engemann, Bret, Maude, Rome, and Cole form a blended family.

Engemann has discussed the difficulty of combining households, particularly when Maude was a toddler and Bret's sons joined the family. She has also said that Maude and her stepbrothers developed a positive relationship and care for one another.
