Dylan Dreyer

Dreyer married NBC News producer and cameraman Brian Fichera in 2012. They have three sons, Calvin, Oliver George and Russell James. Dreyer announced in July 2025 that she and Fichera had separated several months earlier and would continue to co-parent their children.

Dreyer has spoken publicly about experiencing a miscarriage during the winter of 2018-2019 and later being diagnosed with secondary infertility. Her first son, Calvin, was born in December 2016, Oliver was born in January 2020 and Russell was born in September 2021.

Dreyer earned a bachelor's degree in meteorology from Rutgers University in 2003. She began her broadcasting career at WICU-TV in Erie, Pennsylvania, and later worked at WJAR in Providence, Rhode Island, and WHDH in Boston, Massachusetts.

She joined NBC News in September 2012. On Today, she has worked as a weather correspondent, a fill-in for Al Roker and Carson Daly, and a co-host of the program's third hour. She has also appeared on Weekend Today, NBC Nightly News and The Weather Channel.

Dreyer hosts the NBC educational nature program Earth Odyssey with Dylan Dreyer, which airs as part of the network's The More You Know programming block. The series expanded her television work beyond daily weather reporting and focuses on nature and the environment.

Her event coverage has included the 2017 Kentucky Derby and the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. In 2022, she hosted the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade while Al Roker recovered from blood clots. She has also hosted Diving in with Dylan, Off the Rails and the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular.

On February 9, 2013, Dreyer was involved in a car crash while traveling to cover a blizzard for Today. She suffered a mild concussion in the accident.
