She has said that building her platform took more than four years and began with posting nearly eight videos a day. Her advice to aspiring creators includes staying consistent, choosing subjects they genuinely enjoy, tagging brands, and using third-party commissionable links.

Halley Kate attracted widespread attention after revealing that she had bought her first house in the Hamptons, New York. She documented the closing with videos of herself celebrating at the property and on the beach.

She also bought a Land Rover Defender on the same day to travel between the Hamptons and New York City, where she has an apartment in Manhattan. She explained that the decision followed the high cost of repeatedly renting a Hamptons property and said she had wanted a place there for years.

Halley Kate co-hosts Delusional Diaries with influencer Jazmyn Smith, whom she identifies as her best friend. In a 2025 podcast discussion about Smith's wedding, Kate clarified that she was not opposed to marriage but did not want to have a traditional wedding.

Kate announced her engagement to Reed Williams on January 23, 2026. She later explained that she disliked wedding traditions associated with women being handed from their fathers to their husbands, as well as the forced attention and public emotion of walking down an aisle. She also said she did not plan to have a traditional bachelorette trip and considered holding a party in New York City instead.
