Jackson Mahomes

Jackson Mahomes was born on May 15, 2000, in Tyler, Texas. He is the younger son of former Major League Baseball pitcher Pat Mahomes and event planner Randi Martin. His parents divorced in 2006. In addition to his older brother Patrick, he has three half-siblings: Mia Randall through his mother, and Zoe Mahomes and collegiate athlete Graham Walker through his father.

Mahomes grew up in Texas and later attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he graduated in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in marketing. He has maintained close ties to his family throughout his adulthood, serving as best man at Patrick's wedding to Brittany Mahomes in Maui on March 12, 2022, and suggesting the nickname "Bronze" for Patrick and Brittany's son.

Mahomes established an online presence primarily on TikTok, building an audience of over one million followers through dance trends, game-day vlogs, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of NFL events. His social media activity led to commercial brand collaborations with companies such as Casetify and Amazon Prime.

In September 2020, Mahomes launched his own apparel line under the brands "Unathletic" and "Jackson From TikTok," creating merch that acknowledged his non-athletic path within a prominent sports family. In November 2020, he made a television appearance alongside his brother in a State Farm commercial set inside a barbershop.

Mahomes has drawn media attention and public scrutiny for several game-day incidents. In September 2021, he was filmed pouring water on a Baltimore Ravens spectator following a Chiefs loss at M&T Bank Stadium. A month later, in October 2021, he issued a public apology after posting a video of himself dancing on a memorial tribute dedicated to the late Sean Taylor at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.

In May 2023, Mahomes was arrested following an incident at Aspens Restaurant and Lounge in Overland Park, Kansas, involving the restaurant's owner and a staff member. Prosecutors initially charged him with three felony counts of aggravated sexual battery and one misdemeanor count of battery. In January 2024, the three felony counts were dismissed. In March 2024, Mahomes pleaded no contest to the remaining misdemeanor battery charge and received a sentence of six months of probation.
