Jay Glazer

Glazer grew up in Manalapan Township, New Jersey, attending Manalapan High School before enrolling at Pace University. He graduated with a degree in mass media while working shifts as a bartender and performing stand-up comedy. Glazer is Jewish and has a son.

Glazer married Rosie Tenison on May 7, 2024. He was previously married to Michelle Graci, whom he wed in June 2006.

Glazer started his print career at the New York Post. He earned player trust by working the locker rooms directly. Early sources included Peter Flach, an associate of agent Jimmy Sexton. Those connections introduced him to Giants cornerback Jason Sehorn and defensive end Michael Strahan. The relationships opened doors. He also contributed regularly to Dave Klein's Giants Newsweekly.

In 2004, Glazer joined Fox Sports as an NFL insider on Fox NFL Sunday. He became known for major exclusives. In 2007, Sports Illustrated named him Media Person of the Year after his reporting on the New England Patriots SpyGate controversy, during which he obtained the team's videotapes. He broke news on the end of the 2011 NFL lockout at 3:52 a.m., reported Jim Harbaugh's departure from San Francisco before the 2014 season began, and located Tom Brady's stolen Super Bowl jersey. In 2019, the Fox NFL Sunday studio team entered the TV Hall of Fame.

Glazer stepped into mixed martial arts early. In 2005, he hosted the American broadcast of Pride Fighting Championships alongside Frank Trigg on Fox Sports Net. He went 1-1 in his own professional fights before shifting fully to training and media. For five years, he hosted UFC weigh-ins and studio broadcasts before signing with Bellator MMA and the Paramount Network in 2018.

He adapted combat training for football players. With Randy Couture, he partnered in MMAthletics in Las Vegas. Glazer has coached more than a thousand athletes, incorporating hand-fighting and balance techniques during off-seasons. Clients have included Aaron Rodgers, Von Miller, Bobby Wagner, Lane Johnson, and the New Orleans Saints. In 2014, Glazer opened the Unbreakable Performance Center in West Hollywood alongside former linebacker Brian Urlacher and volleyball player Lindsey Berg. The gym drew actors, musicians, and professional players.

In 2015, Glazer teamed up with former Seattle Seahawks long snapper and Green Beret Nate Boyer to establish Merging Vets & Players. The non-profit pairs combat veterans with retired professional athletes. Weekly group workouts and peer discussions help members navigate the transition to civilian life across multiple city chapters.

Glazer has taken on multiple television and movie parts, frequently playing himself or media figures. He made his feature debut in the 2005 remake of The Longest Yard and followed it with The Game Plan in 2007. On television, he appeared across all five seasons of HBO's Ballers and had cameos on FX's The League and Fox's Bones. In 2022, he appeared in and executive produced the feature film MVP.
