Aaron Rodgers

Rodgers revealed in June 2025 that he had married earlier that year. IMDb identifies his wife as Brittani, with the marriage beginning in 2025.

His previously public relationships included actress Olivia Munn, race-car driver Danica Patrick, and actress Shailene Woodley. Rodgers and Woodley became engaged in 2021 and announced their separation in February 2022. His younger brother, Jordan Rodgers, played quarterback at Vanderbilt.

Rodgers played one season at Butte College before transferring to the University of California, Berkeley, in 2003. He became the Golden Bears' starting quarterback and guided the team to a 10-2 record and a number-nine finish in the final Associated Press poll in 2004.

He was named first-team All-Pacific-10 Conference after that season and gave up his senior year to enter the NFL draft.

The Green Bay Packers selected Rodgers in the first round of the 2005 NFL draft, 24th overall. He spent his first three seasons as the backup to Brett Favre, appearing in seven games, before taking over as Green Bay's starter in 2008 after Favre was traded to the New York Jets. Rodgers responded with 4,038 passing yards and 28 touchdowns in his first season as the starter.

In 2009 he became the only NFL player to produce consecutive 4,000-yard passing seasons in his first two years as a starter. The following season, he led Green Bay through the playoffs as the NFC's sixth seed, including a victory over the Chicago Bears in the NFC Championship Game. In Super Bowl XLV, Rodgers threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns without an interception as the Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, earning the game's Most Valuable Player award.

Rodgers won the NFL MVP award for the 2011 regular season after leading Green Bay to a franchise-best 13-0 start. He finished that season with 45 touchdown passes, 4,643 passing yards, and an NFL-record 122.5 passer rating. He later won league MVP honors in 2014, 2020, and 2021, giving him four NFL MVP awards.

Rodgers led the NFL in passer rating in 2012 and guided the Packers to a division title. A fractured collarbone limited him to seven games in 2013, but he returned for the regular-season finale against the Bears and led a fourth-quarter drive that clinched the division. In 2014 he threw for 4,381 yards, 38 touchdowns, and only five interceptions while winning his second NFL MVP award.

He led Green Bay to a seventh consecutive playoff appearance in 2015 and returned to the NFC Championship Game in 2016 after the Packers won six straight games to close the regular season. Another collarbone injury restricted him to seven games in 2017. In 2020 he completed a career-high 70.7 percent of his passes, threw for 4,299 yards and a league-leading 48 touchdowns, and won his third MVP award. He earned his fourth in 2021 after passing for 4,115 yards and 34 touchdowns.

After 18 seasons with Green Bay, Rodgers finished his Packers tenure with three consecutive 13-win campaigns from 2019 through 2021. At the end of the 2025 regular season, he had 66,274 career passing yards and 527 passing touchdowns.

Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets before the 2023 season, but a torn left Achilles tendon ended his season after only four plays in the team's opening game. He returned in 2024, although the Jets were eliminated from playoff contention after Week 14. The team released him in March 2025.

Rodgers signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in June 2025 and played under head coach Mike Tomlin. Pittsburgh finished 10-7, won the AFC North, and reached the playoffs before losing 30-6 to the Houston Texans in the wild-card round. Rodgers completed 17 of 33 passes for 146 yards and threw an interception in that game.

In 2026 Rodgers signed another one-year agreement with Pittsburgh and announced that the season would be his last in the NFL. Mike McCarthy became the Steelers' head coach after previously coaching Rodgers for 13 seasons with the Packers.

Rodgers has acted in television projects including The Office, Key & Peele, Game of Thrones, and The Conners. In The Office he appeared as Aaron Rodgers, while Key & Peele featured him in the parody role A.A. Ron Rodgers. He also appeared as a King's Landing citizen in an uncredited Game of Thrones role.

He served as executive producer of the television series Destination Dallas and is credited as an executive producer on the in-development project Untitled Kenny Washington/Amazon MGM Studios Project. The documentary Aaron Rodgers: Enigma was released in 2024.

Rodgers has expressed interest in alternative medicine and has discussed homeopathic treatments and ayahuasca. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he initially said he had been “immunized,” then stated that he had not been vaccinated. He has also been a frequent guest on podcasts and radio programs.
