Brysen Wright

Wright grew up playing football and basketball. He attended Crookshank Elementary School and R.J. Murray Middle School in St. Augustine, Florida, before enrolling at Mandarin High School in Jacksonville.

In his freshman debut, Wright caught two touchdown passes in Mandarin's 57-13 win over Creekside High School. He finished the season with 31 receptions for 646 yards and eight touchdowns, helping Mandarin win its district title. He was also named MVP of the FBU Freshman All-American Bowl after catching three passes for 66 yards and the game-winning touchdown.

Before starting high school, Wright played for the Jacksonville Jaguars-affiliated Jaguars Elite team at the 2024 NFL FLAG Championships. The team reached the quarterfinals in its age division, and Wright made two one-handed interceptions during a nationally televised game.

Wright helped Jaguars Elite win the 14U title at the 2025 NFL FLAG Championships. He earned 14U MVP honors after leading the competition with 10 touchdown receptions in seven games. A one-handed touchdown catch from the tournament went viral, and the play was featured in the SportsCenter Top 10. In January 2026, he was named NFL Flag Player of the Year and was recognized at the NFL Honors in San Francisco.

Wright is a five-star recruit and has been ranked among the leading wide receivers in the 2028 class. Miami offered him in December 2023 while he was in eighth grade, and he later received offers from Georgia and Florida State before beginning high school. By the start of his sophomore season, he had received more than 30 college offers.

Rivals ranked Wright as the top prospect in its initial 2028 class rankings in August 2025. He was later ranked No. 3 in the first full Rivals300 for the class. ESPN ranked him first in its initial SC Next Junior 300, and he was subsequently named the second-best recruit in the country regardless of class by ESPN recruiting coordinator Billy Tucker.
