Luke Bryan

Luke Bryan married Caroline Boyer on December 8, 2006. They have two sons, Thomas Boyer Bryan, known as Bo, and Tatum Christopher Bryan, known as Tate.

Bryan and Caroline became guardians of his late sister Kelly's three children after Kelly's husband, Ben Lee Cheshire, died in 2014. Bryan's older brother Chris died in a car accident before Bryan moved to Nashville, and Kelly died unexpectedly in 2007. The losses influenced Bryan's performance of "Drink a Beer," a song written by Chris Stapleton and Jim Beavers.

Bryan grew up in Leesburg, Georgia, as the son of a peanut farmer and fertilizer salesman. He attended Lee County High School, performed in musicals, wrote songs, and played with a band he formed. He later studied business administration at Georgia Southern University, graduating in 1999, while working on his father's peanut farm and performing at local venues.

After moving to Nashville in 2001, Bryan obtained a songwriting contract and earned early writing credits for artists including Travis Tritt. He co-wrote Billy Currington's "Good Directions," which reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Capitol Nashville signed him to a recording contract in 2006, and his debut single, "All My Friends Say," became a top-five country hit.

Bryan's debut album, I'll Stay Me, was released in 2007, followed by Doin' My Thing in 2009. The latter produced his first two No. 1 country singles, "Rain Is a Good Thing" and "Someone Else Calling You Baby." His 2011 album Tailgates & Tanlines became his first No. 1 album on the country chart and included "Country Girl (Shake It for Me)," "Drunk on You," and "I Don't Want This Night to End."

Crash My Party increased his mainstream profile after reaching No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums chart. The album produced several No. 1 songs, including "That's My Kind of Night," "Drink a Beer," and "Play It Again," and received the first Academy of Country Music Album of the Decade award in 2019.

With Kill the Lights, Bryan became the first artist in the 27-year history of Billboard's Country Airplay chart to produce six No. 1 singles from one album. His later studio albums include What Makes You Country, Born Here Live Here Die Here, and Mind of a Country Boy, released in 2024. "Country On" became his 30th country radio No. 1, followed by "Love You, Miss You, Mean It," his 31st career No. 1.

Bryan joined the judging panel of ABC's American Idol when the singing competition was rebooted in 2018. He has also appeared on programs including The Voice, CMT Crossroads, Nashville, and The Rookie. In 2017, he performed the national anthem at Super Bowl LI.

He hosted the Academy of Country Music Awards with Blake Shelton in 2015 and later hosted the Country Music Association Awards. Peyton Manning co-hosted the CMA Awards with him in 2022 and 2024. Bryan also hosted It's All Country, a Hulu docuseries centered on stories behind country artists and songs.

Bryan's touring projects include the annual Farm Tour and Crash My Playa, a destination concert event in Cancún. He also founded 32 Bridge Entertainment, a record label under the Universal Music Group Nashville umbrella, which signed Jon Langston as its first artist. His Nashville venue, Luke's 32 Bridge Food + Drink, opened in 2018.
