Marques Houston

Marques Houston has been married to make-up artist Miya Dickey since August 24, 2020. They met at a Jehovah's Witnesses convention in April 2018, began dating after Dickey turned 18, and became engaged in March 2019.

Houston and Dickey have two children, daughter Zara Denise Houston, born in December 2021, and son Greyson Houston, born in December 2023. Houston became one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 2016.

Houston became a founding member of the R&B group Immature in 1990, alongside Jerome "Romeo" Jones and Don "Half Pint" Santos, who was later replaced by Kelton "LDB" Kessee. Houston performed under the nickname "Batman," while Chris Stokes managed the group. Immature also appeared in television programs and recorded songs for the House Party 3 and House Party 4: Down to the Last Minute soundtracks.

The group changed its name to IMx in 1999 and released Introducing IMx and IMx. The group disbanded in 2002, later reunited for touring, and returned to the name Immature in 2014. Its comeback EP, Remember, was released in 2015.

Houston's best-known acting role was Roger Evans on Sister, Sister, the next-door neighbor of twins Tia Landry and Tamera Campbell, played by Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry. He played Roger from 1994 to 1999, appearing in five of the show's six seasons and returning for the series finale.

His early screen work included voicing Khalil, the leader and oldest child, in the animated film Bébé's Kids in 1992. He also appeared in House Party 3, Good Burger, and the music video for Destiny's Child's "No, No, No Part 1."

Houston began his solo career with MH in 2003. The album reached number 20 on the Billboard 200 and number five on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. His follow-up albums included Naked in 2005, Veteran in 2007, Mr. Houston in 2009, Mattress Music in 2010, Famous in 2013, Me in 2022, and the EP Me: Dark Water in 2022. Veteran became his first solo album to reach number one on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

His film roles included Elgin in You Got Served, Dumb Donald in Fat Albert, Brendan Young in Somebody Help Me and Somebody Help Me 2, and Sean Lewis in Battlefield America. He also starred as Kevin Barnes in the UPN sitcom Cuts from 2005 to 2006 and received a Young Artist Award for his work on Sister, Sister.

Houston expanded into filmmaking in 2010 by working with longtime manager Chris Stokes. He became an executive producer and writer, and he and Stokes collaborated on a series of made-for-television and streaming films. Houston serves as chief executive officer of Footage Films, with Jerome Jones as president, Jarell Houston as vice president, and Chris Stokes as chairman of the board.

His first full writing and executive producer credit was Will to Love in 2015. He later co-wrote and produced 'Til Death Do Us Part, produced the BET thriller Running Out of Time, and wrote, produced, and starred in The Stepmother. His later film credits include The Stepmother 2, The Stepmother 3, Best Friend, No Way Out, Adopted, and Run.
