Brittany Snow

Snow became engaged to realtor Tyler Stanaland in 2019. They married in Malibu on March 14, 2020, announced their separation in 2022, and finalized their divorce in 2023.

Snow's parents are John Snow and Cinda Archer Snow. She was raised in Tampa, Florida, and attended Gaither High School.

Snow began modeling for print advertisements at the age of three. At 12, she began playing Susan "Daisy" Lemay on the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light, a role she held from 1998 to 2001. Her performance won the Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress and earned nominations for additional Young Artist and Soap Opera Digest awards.

She gained wider recognition as Margaret "Meg" Pryor on the NBC drama series American Dreams, which ran from 2002 to 2005. She also appeared in Nip/Tuck, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Gossip Girl, and Harry's Law.

Snow's early film credits included The Pacifier, John Tucker Must Die, Hairspray, and Prom Night. In Hairspray, she played Amber Von Tussle and performed the solo song "The New Girl in Town." She received the Boston Film Festival Prize for Best Actress for 96 Minutes in 2011.

In 2012, Snow began playing a cappella singer Chloe Beale in Pitch Perfect. She reprised the role in Pitch Perfect 2 and Pitch Perfect 3, appearing alongside Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, and other members of the Barden Bellas ensemble. Her later film work included Bushwick, Someone Great, X, and The Good Half.

Snow made her directorial debut with Parachute, a drama that premiered at the SXSW festival in 2023. She also co-wrote and produced the film, which received the Thunderbird Rising Special Award and was recognized at several independent film festivals. Her earlier short film Milkshake was also written, directed, and produced by Snow.

In 2023, Snow starred in and produced the short film Red, White and Blue as Rachel, a single mother who travels with her daughter to obtain an abortion. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film. Her television work has included Almost Family, The Night Agent, Murdaugh: Death in the Family, The Beast in Me, and The Hunting Wives.

Snow co-founded the Love Is Louder movement with the Jed Foundation, a project addressing bullying, body image, discrimination, and depression among young people. The movement's programs, events, and clubs have been used by campuses and communities.

With her friend Jaspre Guest, Snow also founded September Letters, a mental health awareness project that encourages people to share personal stories. The project expanded into the 2023 book September Letters: Finding Strength and Connection in Sharing Our Stories. Snow received a Special Recognition Voice Award from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration for her advocacy.
