Colby Brock

Brock was diagnosed with cancer in February 2023 and announced that he was cancer-free in July 2023.

He was born Cole Robert Brock and is from Stanley, Kansas. He has a brother named Gage Brock, and he has two pet dogs named Koki and Foxy.

Brock met Sam Golbach during their freshman year of high school in Kansas. The pair began making videos on Vine, where their account gained more than one million followers before the platform shut down in early 2017. Their most popular Vine was titled "Following Fat People."

After Vine closed, Brock and Golbach moved their work to YouTube, Instagram, and other social platforms. Their joint YouTube channel, Sam and Colby, became known for videos filmed in abandoned buildings, haunted houses, and other frightening locations.

Brock runs the self-titled Colby Brock YouTube channel, where he posts vlogs, prank videos, exploration videos, and additional horror content. The channel has grown to more than 2.5 million subscribers, while the Sam and Colby channel has grown to more than 6.5 million subscribers.

His screen and production credits include Sam and Colby: The Paranormal, Sam and Colby Present: Hell Week, Sam and Colby Reacts, and Sam and Colby: The Deleted Investigations. He has worked on these projects as a writer, director, editor, producer, and performer.

Brock and Golbach created the clothing line XPLR, which they use to raise awareness of mental health and support charitable causes. They also introduced The Life Project, an initiative focused on encouraging people to live life to the fullest and sharing information about maintaining a happy lifestyle.

In May 2020, Brock and Golbach appeared on Good Morning America to discuss managing mental health. The advice they shared included communicating feelings, caring for physical health, taking breaks from social media, setting goals, and practicing meditation. Brock also publicly supported the Black Lives Matter movement and participated in a 2020 protest in Los Angeles following the death of George Floyd.
