Turner Tenney grew up in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, where he engaged in action sports such as surfing and skimboarding from an early age alongside his father, Richard Tenney. He attended a traditional middle school for only one week before his family opted for homeschooling, completing much of his education through online programs such as Khan Academy. He began playing video games at around age twelve.

His older brother, Jack Tenney, runs the YouTube channel JOOGSQUAD PPJT and featured Turner in skimboarding and stunt videos beginning in 2010. He also has two other siblings, Alexandra and Pierce. In 2019, Tenney moved to New Jersey to live and create content with his regular competitive gaming partner, Dennis "Cloakzy" Lepore. In January 2026, Tenney purchased a waterfront property in St. Pete Beach, Florida, previously home to the hurricane-damaged Woody's Waterfront restaurant.

Before finding mainstream success, Tenney streamed titles such as Call of Duty, Destiny, and H1Z1, joining the esports organization Rogue in October 2017. In April 2018, he departed Rogue and signed with FaZe Clan to compete in Fortnite Battle Royale, which was experiencing massive global popularity. During this period, his channel grew into one of the most-watched broadcasts on Twitch, and he set a PC world record for squad eliminations in Fortnite alongside his teammates.

Tenney's time with FaZe Clan ended in legal dispute. On May 20, 2019, he filed a lawsuit against the organization in California, alleging that his contract was oppressive, limited his outside business opportunities, and took an unfair share of his sponsorship revenue. FaZe Clan responded by disputing the revenue claims and later filed a federal lawsuit against Tenney in New York in August 2019, alleging breach of contract and disclosure of confidential terms.

Following the resolution of his contractual disputes, Tenney continued streaming independently and competed in Call of Duty: Warzone tournaments through 2021. On June 20, 2023, after a two-month absence from online uploads, he published a YouTube video announcing his retirement from content creation and streaming.

The hiatus proved temporary. In November 2023, Tenney returned to regular broadcasting after signing a streaming deal with the platform Kick. He later expanded his content ventures in October 2025 by launching a secondary channel dedicated to fishing, named SeaFueFishing. In December 2025, he resumed broadcasting on Twitch, focusing his streams primarily on the game ARC Raiders.
