Lily Ki was born in New York City and grew up in Queens and The Bronx before moving with her family to North Jersey. She is of Korean descent and has a younger brother named Daniel. Ki began playing piano at a young age in a musical household and later completed an associate degree in Arts and Music at a community college.

Ki was previously in a relationship with musician and fellow creator Albert Chang, known online as Sleightlymusical, which ended in late 2019. Since early 2020, she has been in a relationship with fellow OfflineTV member and YouTuber Michael Reeves. Ki also owns two Pomeranian dogs, named Temmie and DaVinky.

Ki began uploading content to YouTube in 2010, initially creating animations, music parodies, and gaming clips. She gained significant attention in 2011 after releasing the League of Legends parody song "I'll Quit LoL." Over the years, her channel expanded to encompass animated storytime vlogs, piano covers, and original songs.

In July 2017, Ki joined OfflineTV, a Los Angeles-based collective of digital creators that includes personalities such as Pokimane and Scarra. As a live streamer on Twitch, she developed a large audience streaming gaming, art, and music, ranking among the platform's most-watched female streamers in 2020 and winning Best Music Streamer at the inaugural Streamer Awards in 2022. In July 2022, she signed an exclusive streaming agreement with YouTube Gaming before resuming Twitch broadcasts in July 2024.

Alongside her streaming work, Ki has established a career as a professional voice actress in English dubs for anime series and video games. In television and animation, she voiced Muni Ohnaruto in D4DJ First Mix, Megumi Okura in Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress, Yoshi in Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro, and Nico Wakatsuki in Witch Watch.

In video games, Ki is best known for voicing the playable character Sayu in the English release of Genshin Impact. Her other gaming roles include Onion Cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom, Rin in Phantom Breaker: Omnia, Juno in Omega Strikers, and Nora Kim in Fears to Fathom: Woodbury Getaway.

Ki has released multiple original songs and instrumental projects. She made her recording debut with the extended play Lilies in September 2015. Through her music brand comfi beats, she has issued lo-fi instrumental tracks and pop singles, frequently collaborating with artists and producers such as TJ Brown, Farhan Sarasin, and VGR.
