Addison Rae

Addison Rae was raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, by Sheri Easterling and Monty Lopez. She has two younger brothers, Enzo Lopez and Lucas Lopez, and an older half-sister, Macye Neumeyer. Through her father, she has Mexican, Cajun French, and English ancestry, while her mother is of European descent.

Rae began competitive dancing at age six and also practiced gymnastics and cheerleading. She briefly studied broadcast journalism at Louisiana State University with the goal of becoming a sports broadcaster, then left the university to pursue her growing TikTok career.

Rae confirmed that she was in a relationship with fellow TikTok creator Bryce Hall from 2020 until 2021. She was later in a relationship with musician and producer Omer Fedi from 2021 until around October 2025.

Rae joined TikTok in July 2019 and began posting dance videos set to trending songs. Her account passed one million followers within a few months, prompting her to leave Louisiana State University in November 2019 and move to Los Angeles to pursue entertainment work.

In December 2019, she joined The Hype House, a collaborative group of young online creators that included Charli D'Amelio and Chase Hudson. Rae signed with the talent agency WME in January 2020 and became one of TikTok's most-followed creators.

Her early online work included the Spotify-exclusive podcast Mama Knows Best, which she co-hosted with her mother Sheri Easterling. The podcast was later relaunched as That Was Fun?

Rae made an early voice-acting appearance as Marnie in the English dub of Spy Cat in 2020. She made her live-action film debut as Padgett Sawyer in the Netflix romantic comedy He's All That in 2021, a gender-swapped remake of She's All That. The film became Netflix's most-streamed film during its release week despite receiving unfavorable reviews from critics.

Following He's All That, Rae signed a deal with Netflix to star in and executive produce additional films. She played Gaby in the 2023 slasher film Thanksgiving and appeared as Evelyn Hartley in two episodes of the television series Monster: The Ed Gein Story.

Rae is set to appear in the live-action animated road comedy Animal Friends, alongside Ryan Reynolds and Aubrey Plaza. She is also listed as returning as Gaby in Thanksgiving 2.

Rae began her recording career with the single “Obsessed,” released in March 2021. She released her debut extended play, AR, on August 18, 2023. The five-track project included “2 Die 4,” a collaboration with Charli XCX, and reached number 19 on the US Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.

Charli XCX became an important professional collaborator and mentor for Rae. After meeting during a studio session, they worked together on “2 Die 4,” the “Von Dutch” remix, and A. G. Cook's song “Lucifer.” Rae has described Charli XCX as a big sister and mentor.

Rae signed with Columbia Records and released “Diet Pepsi” in 2024. The song became her first entry on the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 54. She followed it with “Aquamarine,” “High Fashion,” “Headphones On,” and “Fame Is a Gun.”

Her debut studio album, Addison, was released on June 6, 2025, and debuted at number four on the Billboard 200. The album led to a Best New Artist nomination at the 68th Grammy Awards and Rae's first headlining concert tour, The Addison Tour.

Rae's music has been categorized as dance-pop, bubblegum pop, and synth-pop. She has cited Britney Spears, Charli XCX, Madonna, Barbra Streisand, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift as influences. Her later music incorporates synth-pop and electropop, while her visual work draws on 1990s and Y2K fashion.

Rae has appeared on the covers of Glamour, Rolling Stone, Vogue France, Elle, Billboard, and W. She starred in Saint Laurent's 2024 campaign short film As Time Goes By, directed by Nadia Lee Cohen, and appeared in Sombr's “12 to 12” music video.

Her commercial and creative projects have included Item Beauty, Addison Rae Fragrance, and collaborations with brands including Reebok, L'Oréal, Pandora, Lululemon, YSL Beauty, and Lucky Brand. She won the Lifestyle Creator award at the 2021 Streamy Awards.

Rae has also participated in charitable and political campaigns. In 2021, she donated the prize from the Stay At Home Slam Mario Tennis Aces tournament to No Kid Hungry. She endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election and later expressed support for trans rights, Planned Parenthood, and protests opposing Immigration and Customs Enforcement actions.
